I being using the AR7100R with the 3G for quite a long time with two cell lipo. The cyclic and throttle servo get 8.1V while tail servo gets 5.1V using the regulated side.

I bought the Microbeast and I'm told by club members that set up wont work for it. You cant have 8.1v and 5.1v coming in because only the higher voltage would be output event to the tail servo. Is this correct?

The control behavior parameter comes set up for sport. I generally run cyclic very fast. What are most of you using?

The 3G has been running well over the years with the normal wobbles here and there. What can you tell me about the Microbeast is it worth the money to change over? Trying to convince myself to install it today and try it.

Finally anything help you can give me on final set up and what to watch for on the install would be appreciated.

Thanks
Luis

There is an easy way around this. Just make up a harness using a spare servo extension that provides power to the tail servo from the regulated rx port and signal only from the BeastX.

beeflyer2 has it right, make up a harness where the power is coming from the rx, but the signal is coming from the mb.

what firmware version is on the microbeast? there are a couple added parameters from v2 to the new v3.

I was able to get the regulator issue worked out with your help.
This unit has been upgrade to the V3.
I was able to fly it today , but the cyclic was very slow in comparison to the 3g. Now the lock in feel was awesome very please with it. I kept making adjustments to speed the cyclic , but ran out of daylight.
Set up now is 14deg of pitch and as much swash plate movement without head binding. Will keep trying tomorrow.
Thanks
Luis

FWIW parameter B us where you adjust cyclic speed. That should get you up and running quickly tomorrow.

if it ain't broke, break it.

parameter b is not cyclic speed, it is for expo. you can shoose a pre-determined setting, or set to "transmitter" and use the expo settings in your radio.

i would suggest setting parameter b to "transmitter", then using the expo in your radio for your liking. i personally run 10% expo for aile/elev/rudd.

I changed the parameter B to transmitter and endpoints to 110%. Also change parameter G to blue color last setting. Is just as fast my old 3G now. The lock in feel is awesome! Piros very consistant and without the 3G woobles.
Money well spend!

cool!!! now if you setup the swash limits to just before binding, then adjusted the endpoints in the radio to 110%, your probably going to see binding now. i would say to reduce that back to 100% just so your not getting any binding.

this is wrong.

changing the end-points has no effect on binding for the MB. It has a cyclic-ring. The max cyclic throws sorted during setup will always be the max cyclic throws no matter what. end-points will effect the speed of roll/flip.
