Logo 600 › Bent spindle shaft on Logo 600 from tic-tocs?

Yesterday I was having a lot of fun with the 600 and started trying really aggressive tic-tocs. When I came in to land, I noticed a pretty bad vibration and the blades were out of track by about an inch. Upon further inspection, the spindle shaft was actually bent!

Has anyone else bent the spindle shaft doing tic-tocs? Any resolution? This is on a more or less stock Logo 600 with ~2200 head speed. I'm running a 12S setup with 3700mAh and 5100mAh batteries.

Not a chance I would say.

I have flown so hard I broken the head, and had several crashes where the spindle never bent, so unless you have some after-market spagetthi steel ones, I would say wherever it got bent it was not in the tictocs.

a flat down hard landing (breaking skids type of hard) where the blades do not fold, that can do it though.

are you sure the spindle is bent, or is it the dampers. Did you put an extra shim between the o rings and the blade grip. I had the same problem and all I had to do was add an extra shim.

This is on a Logo 600 3D.

It's subtle, but the spindle is definitely bent. I could also see one grip move around as I rotated the spindle in the head. I put a new spindle shaft on it and the problem was solved.

I got the helicopter used, so it's possible it was already bent or the part was after market. If it was already bent, I would have expected the blades to go out of track earlier.

There's still a slight gap between the center hub and each grip. It probably makes sense to put some shims in there to take it out.

I wouldn't think the tic-toc did it, but then anything is possible.

You say...
I'm running a 12S setup with 3700mAh and 5100mAh batteries.
Do you mean sometimes with a pair of 3700's, and sometimes with 5100's? Or are you running one of each? If you are running two 5100's, that's a lot of weight for a 600, and doing aggressive tic tocs with that much weight may very well cause problems.

The most extreme pilots can fly this model and not bend one, never seen it so unless you are the new ulty god that tareq would adore, I say no.

Yep, I fly either two 3700s or two 5100s.

I'll try the same stuff I was doing and see if it bends again. I'm not throwing it around like the pros, but I wasn't being "nice" to it either

Nope, not even with the extra weight.
How do I know, well, since the 600SE is same spindle, and works with 5100 packs _AND_ 690 blades.
