Gents,

I too am in a similar predicament. I purchased my first GY701 years ago and never installed it on my heli. So its been in storage for years but brand new! So this past week I have my helis out of storage and finally got around to installing the 701. But guess what? The screen is blank! I also have a 750, I hope its OK when I get it checked out. I have sent a message to Futaba USA (emedley) but no response yet.

Same damn thing here. I have 3 750's and 2 701's. new in box, and garbage to me. Highly disappointed in Futaba and their support. Never thought I'd say that.Signature

I have been informed that the next delivery of these screens to the UK will be around mid September this year.
These screens are not made by Futaba, but are a bought in product and thats where the problem is - with the original supplier.

Well, in my case, it is very difficult to get the spare part for my gy701... Needless to say, the gy750.

So, I 'm flying my spectraG with this faulty OLED screen, taking care of led signal from gyro, hopping no more failures.

In any moment, probably I will install a Gy401 and leave this piece of junk as a paperweight.

Lesson learned.

The screen for both GY701 and CGY750 is the same. It is not per say “pin” connected to the control board, but rather ribbon connector with 22 single sided connections, manufactured by TDK.

Could you tell me the dimensions of the screen? I'm trying to find a replacement screen.

The ribbon has 22 connection traces out from the screen, NOT 23.

Andre is trying to find a compatible replacement screen, hence it must have 22 connections. The 23rd pin that you counted on the ribbon is not used... CHECK!

Hello Andre and you’re welcome. I hope that helps you identify a solution. BTW, Futaba is releasing a new FBL gyro CGY755 (No integrated receiver) replacing CGY750. Inventory already landed at FutabaUSA and should be available on their website this week!!! That is GREAT news!!!

Great news? You've got to be kidding right?

As many of us have experienced with this CGY750 Futaba product, the quality assurance from Futaba has been a disgrace to say the least.
Further, no proper distribution of replacement parts.
Why in the world would anybody consider supporting a substandard quality product line as the CGY701 and CGY750 have proven to be - by moving onto the next one in line.

You are free to have your opinion and so do I and everyone else. So yes, it is great news as far as I am concerned and YOU don't need to agree. It is called product evolution and progress. Yes, there has been problems with 701/750 screens, not the GYRO as a whole? Do you think Futaba is alone with problems and all other manufacturers are immune of same? No need to answer, we all know the answer. It happens in every industry in case you have not noticed. I have received great service from FutabaUSA replacing ALL, yes ALL failed screens at a very low reasonable cost. Perhaps you need to check your attitude before you hit the keyboard as to how you approach a problem or situation? Bashing the manufacturer is not going to resolve any of your problems. Futaba has been around twice as long than you been on this earth. Look at JR... where are they now? Yes, out of business. Collectively we need to work together with manufactures to support this hobby, otherwise there is going to be less of them around. You already made your point in earlier posts. You don't like Futaba, then move on and buy something else. Last time I checked, you have freedom of choice to buy whatever you want. So stop complaining and move on... life is too short!
