I have not forgot about you bud. Yeah... I'm still planning on getting it done here soon. I'm hoping middle of next week I can get started on it.

Thanks,
Chris

bmw576,

There are pros and cons to every FBL system out there. What sold me on the CGY750 was you could adjust it on the fly. The 8FG and CGY750 combo is very nice.

I ran a V-bar for a summer and it worked fine for what I needed. I grew tired of having my laptop with me to make simple adjustments.

Thanks,
Chris

Yes

The only difference is you cannot adjust the Ail/Elv gyro gains from the radio with the 10C. You adjust them on the CGY750. Very simple. I have set up CGY750's on both radios several times.

Thanks,
Chris

Branden,

I don't think you will be able to access the submenus for the CGY750 using the 10C... It should still work just fine but I think I remember reading the 8FG and CGY750 we designed to work together more so than using some other tx.. This is just what I remember hearing

I think I will be picking one up to try out. I like the S-bus part of them too.

Thanks Sean

I wonder if there is a update for the 10c to make it have full use of the 750.

I don't know, that would be cool though! You, Chris, and myself all use the 10C.. I like the tx but it kinda sucks having picked it up pretty much right when it came out and then BAMM 8FG/8FG Super hit the market a few months later... The 10C works great but its no 8FG...

I have both of the radios now. The 10C does not have an update to use the gyros as the 8FG does. I just recently picked up my 8FG because I have set so many of them up at events. Thought it was time I ordered one for myself. It was ether that or a 18MZ.......

Both radios work just fine with the CGY750.

Thanks,
Chris

I don't know why you would always need you laptop, adjust your v-bar then you are good to fly almost for life. I have the control panel and almost never use.
Yes the CGY750 is also a great FBL system, but I'm used to V-Bar and programming it is almost second nature for me.

Even though it's already making it's rounds, I thought I would post the new TT video here in my build thread. I'm planning on picking a TT system up for my E7.

Is there any particular reason you want to go TT? I don't really want to start TT vs belt debate, but I thought that well designed belt drives (like Synergy) were as efficient as TT, but had no problems with stripping gears at slightest touch of the tail etc.
I am yet to buy my kit and since I've heard Synergy with offer TT kit options, I'd like to make an informed decision.

Swings and roundabouts... people have suffered from static from their belt driven tails. Also, TT will allow you to have a higher gain value for the governor in your CC ESC. I'm not sure this is really that necessary though as Matt seems to fly his E6/7 pretty well with an extraordinarily low gain of just 2.

Couple questions for Chris. On the left side of this picture, there is small plactic wire restraint, holding the antenna wire down. Where did you get that?

For your packs, are you using 4 inch clear heat shrink, or 3.5 inch? Also where did you source the clear heat shrink. I saw that Esprit carries it, just wondering who else might be carrying it.
