Not so sure i will be able to hook up with you in N.H.. My wife informed me that we were going there to my daughters Grand opening of her new resturant, in Portsmouth and Visiting with my Grandkids and family, not going there to fly helicopters, what a bummer. I take Heliopters every where i go so if i get a chance i will fly somewhere. Last year my grandaughter had a big graduation party and i got to put on a little show for them with my 700.. Im not sure but out of 150 people there was no one that had ever seen a rc helicopter and all was impressed, I just finished making new boom supports off a couple of 700 supports that Mike Donally told me that would help. They are longer and i am bolting them to the bottom of the frame, down where the skids bold on but through the side, its alot better angle and are longer, will see how that works and also will lowere the head speed down a little/ right now in idle up its at 1950. Keep it up.....Warren

Just got back from New Hamp. did a little flying for the family but didnt have time to do much else. I think im getting alittle to old to be driving 14 hours one way. on the way back we spent the night and made it in 2 days. I will be taking the G30 out tomorrow for some flying. I took the 700 with me to New Hamp. all was impressed. Some had never seen an RC helicopter. I am going to Orlando Fl. in Dec for a fun fly, the weather should be warmer than here. I am meeting my friend Rich Schlutz, the one with the coastguard helis. and he is starting his new job at ReadyHeli the first of November. Like having your cake and eating it too. Seeya. Warren

Sounds great Warren!
I just got back from North Carolina last night. Yeah about the same distance, probably a little shorter than you, like 12 hours or so.

Had a great time there 4 days of sun and flying and stopped at heli invasion on Sunday night to break up the trip and flew there Monday before leaving back home. Good times

I'll be headed to Florida too in December so I'll see you there at the OHB! I plan to be there for about 10 days or so, its such a long drive no way I'm staying for just a long weekend

Hey Raja. how have you been? Ive been putting in some time on the Radikal but still about half scared to do any autos with it other than some low ones. After being told it would drop like a brick i felt like i didnt want to start replacing parts on it. I have the 700 for autos but the G30 is really flying nice and engine seems to running really smooth. Will see you in Orlando . WE my wife and i are leaving on Wed. am and will take 2 days getting there. I can make it in one day but its a long haul and get pretty tired. Will get there on thursday and will be at the field on Friday AM ready to fly. Also a couple of Friends in our club are going to be there also. My friend John walker will also be there. I started doing autos over a year ago and John just started doing them about 3 month ago and he can land one within a foot every time he autos. and has only been flying for about 1 1/2 years, hes young and is getting very good very fast.Actuall he is the best flyer we have in our club now. He makes me mad at how good he is getting and is really fun to watch now. Seeya, Warren

Warren,
The R30 autos just fine... Just don't run the belt to tight...Learn autos with a slight breeze...Wind is your friend learning autos....

Autos like a brick...... really. Some one is feeding you BS. When you are in Orlando, ask Bert Kammerer how well the Rad 30 autos. He did one hell of an impressive areobatic auto at the Rochester fun fly. Raja seen it.. but I am sure he will say otherwise.

Seen it, flown it, autoed it myself many times
I never said it autos like a brick but I will say it does NOT auto as good as other machines I've flown. Rotor brake doesn't help there...

Yes you can do aerobatic autos with it but that just means that your decent rate has to be faster to overcome the drag - its just physics.

And did you ever stop to think that Warren owns both a Trex 700 and the Radikal 30? He's been practicing autos quite a lot (mostly with the 700 as I understand it) and he could have definately seen a difference between the two and made his own observations about the Radikal.

" After being told it would drop like a brick i felt like i didnt want to start replacing parts on it.
I would say that biases and incorrect information is the problem. Saying things like "rotor brake" and "autos like brick" are shyinging him away. How bout you go support your MA Heli for which you are sponsored to fly nd leave the century support to us, those who do not have a hidden agenda. Thanks.

That is me, but MEADOR is the spelling Mike Donell also said its autos like a brick...He is new to gassers as well, and a very good friend

I just wanted to make sure you didn't have anything impeding you to keep from safely autoing the machine...

Gassers can do it all in the right hands. Nice to meet you.....

G30 auto's
Some of us were fling today and i had my 600,700 and G30 . all were running very good. I was doing auto's with the 700 and a friend of mine that also built a g30 the same time i did was powering his up and it flipped over and tore the s out of it . His elevator servo wasnt working. After that i decided i still didnt want to try any high autos with it, Im still trying to baby it some. Probably "only" have about $2500. in it by now more or less and started thinking about my friends bird and i chickened out. but i gave the 700 hell today. My autos still arent pretty but they land right side up. This young friend of mine i was telling about that has only been doing auto for about 3 months now started his first inverted autos today and after a few he was landing them within about 2 feet every time. Those young guys have me beat all to hell. WT
