Unclejane, at my Club, 3D has the back seat position,
It all depends on where you fly I guess !

Your FAI ship does not roll faster because of heavy paddles you use;
Usually we use 40 grams, try 30 grams from SAB or lighter form CY.

On FBL devises you simulate the paddles electronically, it will be your choice to use 60,40,30 or less so, your heli will roll faster because of your choice not because of FBL alone.

Therefore difference is mechanical versus electronical, that's it.

By the same token, we all shall try FBL at least once but, for F3C use, you will not like it as yet !

I'm pretty much the only heli pilot period where I fly, so guess I can kind of do what I want lol.

I actually like the handling of my nitro how it's setup now with the FB, which is why I'm keeping it FB and only converting the electric right now. It's good enough for me to practice my hovering for sure. The only thing that needs done is changing out the hard 3D dampeners for the softer red ones to get rid of the wobbles.

I just want to see what the fuss is all about with FBL. And since I hardly ever fly my electric, maybe this will give me an incentive to fly it and not have it just collect dust in the living room
