Wow what an excellent event. Big thank you to Bert, Carey, James and all the Torchs members who put on such an amazing event. It was great to see so many people enjoying the great hobby. The weather, flying, and vendors all made for an awesome experience. The highlight was watching Nick Maxwell doing a chaos (yes chaos not piroflip) during his noon time demo.

Thanks for the great fun! The Torches did a SUPERB job! So well organized and they put in mega hours to make this happen. We came down from New York and I am so freaking glad I did! On sunday afternoon we saw Tim Jones and Bobby Watts fly tandem. It was the battle of the big blocks and those flights that they did together was the best flying I saw all weekend! Thanks guys!

I hope nobody put anybody up to say bad things about James, he is a great guy and without him this wouldn't have been possible, period. He comes across a bit harsh sometimes But the truth of the matter is, he is a sweetheart.

Esmoglo, nice pics, specially the one when Bobby and I are doing tic-tocs on top of the fire at night.

I want to personally thank everyone for coming to the OHB 2011. This was by far our best OHB with 281 registered pilots and about 1,000 spectators throughout the weekend.

We had more pilots than any other event in the whole world (outside of IRCHA and 3D Masters), great sponsors, delicious fast food and just a lot of fun.

I want to thank our club president James Cistola and our Treasurer, Carey Shurley for helping so much. I also want to thank all the TORCHS members that helped us make this happen, too many to name them all, but without you guys, I couldn't for sure do this ever. TORCHS, the best heli club in the world!

Thanks to all the pilots, Bobby Watts, Colin Bell, Kyle Dahl, Kyle & Ray Stacy, Mitch Marozas, Nick Maxwell, Tim Jones, Steven Fox, Wilson Miller, John Thompson, Jim Stark, Andy P, JC Zankl, Gary Wright, James Haley, Pete Campbell, Mike Fortin, Steve Boyajian, Hugo Markes & Leon Luke.

Thanks to all the sponsors:

Steve McFall with Experience R/C
Greg, Chris & Sam with Outrage & HeliDirect
Jeff Green and Brian James with Miniature
Jeff Fassbinder & Dino with Align / Assurance
Marc Jensen with Byron Fuels
Clint & Steve with Castle Creations
Curtis with CYE
Danny Melnik and Rob McQuillan from Esprit / Heli Command
Steve Kaluf with Great Planes / Futaba / Thunder Tiger
James Haley with Horizon
Georges and Lucien with Scorpion
Matt and Amy Botos with Synergy
Century Helicopters
Alan with TRM
Fabien with HATZS / Gryphon

Big D, your announcing was off the hook, you lost your voice just for volunteering, that was priceless. Steve McFall, thanks for driving that huge trailer down here, I know how much money, time and effort it takes to do that and without a doubt, no way in hell you broke even, so thanks for doing that for us. All the international pilots, thanks for making the long trip here.

Finally, thanks to my wife for being there all day on her birthday and helping coordinate demos, music, and even announcing the night fly when Big D ran out of voice.

I am sure I am missing somebody, too many people to name them all, if I did, please let me know!

yes, I remember I missed somebody, Pinion! Thanks for being there buddy, you are indeed a funny dude.

Thanks again all, hope to see you again next year!

Flat out Hardcore flying for three solid days!
Let's not forget Sat. Night's night flying!!!!
To "Big D" -- Excellent job buddy!

Bert kammerer, Carey Shurley and our president James Cistola worked for months on this event to ensure that it would be one to remember!

To the TORCHS crew excellent job of putting everything together!

I would also like to personally thank all of the Pilots who took their personal time to come the "2011 Orlando Blowout" without you this event would never happen or be as "off the hook insane" as it always is.....

Great Time

Just want to give a special Thanks to:
The Experience RC Group
Steve, Bill, Arron and Tony.
You guys went to great lengths to get the trailer there,
with our helis and supplies, and support parts for the weekend.

I know more than one person that would have not made the trip without your efforts.

Also Kevin Bowers and Big D

Thanks for helping with all the pre-trip questions, and being so accommodating

Orlando Blowout and Raja
Just wanted to thank Raja for auto instructions again. He helped me get started doing autos a couple of years ago and this year i was able to compete with him in the auto competion. Actually he didnt have to worry about me competing since i think i took almost last place but it was fun and also thanks to all the guys at Centuary helicopter for helping me getting my G30 running better. Was a very good event and only took me 16 hours to get there. Edge blades did the trick Rich.

The OHB does not disappoint! The noon-time demos alone were worth the attendance and the night flying was off the hook. One of my favorite parts was watching Curtis' heli disappear in the clouds for what seemed like an eternity... that was awesome. Thanks to Bert and all the people who make this event possible. It's nice to have such a quality event so close. See you guys next year!

Lesson from Matt Botos
That save that Matt did during the noon demo showed us the importance of being ready every second and that practice practice practice is the key. That heli could have been in the crowd so fast. Even the pros jumped up off the ground and started moving fast and Matt's save looked so natural and smooth. Nobody hurt and even the heli was saved. Made a big impression on me. Lots of good saves during the OHB but to me that was an OSCAR winner. Great job Matt, beautiful helis, flying skills, really on top of your game and the world at this time.
