Looks great. What will the blades be made of? I like the idea of scale blades and will they be available to purchase?

I don't always fly helis, but when I do I prefer to fly scale.

we are looking to make the blades from a combo of kevlar, carbon and fiberglass. i do not think it will be problem to sell the blades, and that is the plan. this type of detail will really make cobra stand out.
the blades are 105mm wide, compared to the 70mm on moat 720 to 800mm blades

The plug has a naca 0012 fattened up slightly
Like the real one its also the same as just about all rotor blades out there.
They are symmetrical but since they are for the whiskey the will really only spin one way.

Would it be possible to make a set for the smaller super cobra that approach has as well?

I don't always fly helis, but when I do I prefer to fly scale.

Probably, but I would like to see how this works out first. I think making a small plug like that would be the hardest part (or spend a ton of cash to have molds machined )

Have some updates with the Cobra.
the kit cobra is just about ready for paint and detail and now she is standing on her own feet!

i am building a a second one to test build all the mods we did to the kit. the first one was modified after the main parts were build, so there were no pictures showing the correct build sequence for the composite hybrid kit that will be available. the second one build much easier and faster then the first one. (btw, the cannon barrels are much to long...will be fixed before paint)

I am also working on the newer flat exhaust. the final product will be a composite part that will glue right to the back of the kits doghouse, should be pretty sweet when finished...

Looks great! Are you guys bringing these prototypes to Scale Masters this year? If so, I'll see you there.

Are you doing the AH-1Z doghouse to go with the diffuser (flat)exhaust?

I've never seen the diffusers on a Whiskey, but that doesn't mean they aren't out there...

Looking forward to this one being available...
