Update on my own order -- finally came in, about a month after ordering.

Spent a week of that time in US Customs -- guess any airplane RC kit is gonna get the high hard one after one bozo apparently got railroaded into claiming he could bring down the evil gubbermint with a foamie...

Glad you got your order
They lost the money I spent on other batteries. That total is @ 1500 dollars on other batteries. That does not count the other stuff I would have ordered. My LHS is happy. I will give them the 2 weeks promised by Ivy. I will fill out the complaint forms on Internet Fraud with the DOJ on the 19th. We'll see if that rattles their cage a little. I doubt it.

How is your claim coming?

An example of how fast the shipping from China can be --

I ordered misc wires, connectors and stuff on Oct 1.
Got a shipping confirmation on Oct 4.
And received the box yesterday Oct 17.

They can't possibly take 1 month to track an order.

AN end should come to this.
You have been WAY more patient than I would be.

No response - over 6 months.
They are hoping I will develop dementia before they have to pay up. I could research mail lost by the Pony Express faster than this. I have been busy at work. My next step is to report them to the Dept of Justice internet fraud. Maybe they will get something besides a canned response.

7 months and no response
I contacted them again and talked to the same Ivy that promised me 2 weeks. That was 3 weeks ago. She gave me the same song and dance. I ended up filing a claim with the Dept of Justice Website for Internet Fraud. It might be a good website to keep available.

8 months now
Well it has been 8 months now. 364 dollars. What crooks. I cannot believe anyone orders from them.
Do not pay with PayPal.
File a complaint if your order is even 2 days late.
Their 5-7 day shipping does not even mean 5-7 months.
Don't order anything you need. In other words, don't buy from these guys.

helitroll, just have to say that your claim is starting to look suspicious! 8 months, come on now! I've been dealing with hobby king for at least 5 or 6 years now without a single incident of merchandise not showing up eventually or credit not given when a product was no longer available. I have bought over $3 grand worth from them at this point.
They lost the money I spent on other batteries.
Tell us what is really going on here. Did Hobby King ever get your money or are you just spouting off and trolling if you will? Maybe you should post proof that you actually paid a dime for these batteries. I smell a scam here.

TWC, it just seems like this thread is one man's unjustifiable attack against hobby king. The large majority of us are very satisfied with HK and are glad to have HK as an option for inexpensive and innovative products. So, now that helitroll continues his crusade, let him show us proof of what he claims. Even PayPal rejected his claim. I can say that I have personally had Paypal stand by me in a dispute with HK, even after the 45 day dispute period ellapsed.

What would you like for proof? SSN. Credit card numbers. Bank accounts with passwords. Working 13 days straight. Worked 16 hours today but took time to solder up my Hyperion packs from my LHS. I'll post parts of the garbage they send me when i have time to get to my desktop. This was my 11th order. What makes me mad is that I recommended these guys to new people in our club.

Notice that it shows reserved. They told me it shipped. It was in stock when I ordered it. They gave me a shipping number that never worked. Every other order (10 of them) had a shipping number that worked within 24 hours. I have more if you need it. Their theft was bad enough. Your comments bugged me as much. Don't let my comments bother you. I was just pointing out that your situation seems rather strange and does not comport with my own dealings with both hobby king and Paypal. As I posted above, I have had items that never showed up and could not be tracked. They were shipped EMS as well. hobby king was robotic with their responses to me. Just like in your case, they kept wanting me to wait longer. I wonder if anyone there is real except for Anthony Hand or perhaps no one else speaks English. Anyway, PayPal filed a complaint for me against HK eventhough more than 45 days had elapsed. This was before I had my PayPal purchases backed up by a PayPal credit card. I used another bank card at the time. I informed PayPal that I would file a claim with my other card company if PayPal could not get results. They advised me to file a claim with the other bank anyway, so I did. Long story short, I got a refund from PayPal within a couple of days.

BTW, I looked at your profile. I don't usually look at someone's profile, but in your case it was warranted since this issue involved a question of character. Your profile says you have been in the RC hobby for +40 years and are a retired military pilot, l believe scamming is likely out of character for someone of your background. I apologize if I offended you.

Thanks for the reply. I signed on as Helitroll because my nickname in college was Troll. I played water polo and looked like a troll. I did not figure out the other meaning till later. I try to avoid the negative. I have enough of that at work. PayPal blew me off but I may lean on them again.

Still no response from hobby king
I wanted to provide an update. For those of you that thought I dropped this thread because I received my batteries, it did not happen. I continue to be ignored by hobby king and PayPal. I tried the US phone number for support. It rings about 20 times then gives a busy signal. The on line support is nothing but automated responses with the exact same responses I have gotten for 10 months. This is an order from 3/30/2011.

My only other non-delivered Heli item is a canopy from Canomod. I am working on that one. At least I filed a dispute with PayPal prior to the 45 days.

Order from hobby king at your own risk.
