Same here. If that upgrade come out soon im going to get it right away. I would love that. Would make it fly so much faster. Maybe make it possable to flip in smaller spaces because of a higher speed.

Is that tail rotor motor new?...Looks too small to be a 120, too big to be stock????

Most conversions use "the steve" converter board and a novus 11000kv motor, stock tail motor, extended, with a 120 rotor on it, from what ive read and seen.
He may be testing a horizon prototype of some sort for all I know though.

I was there when it was filmed. What really surprised me was the tail slide, and just the overall power. You can hear the blades over speed on the way down on the tail slide. And then, WHAM, right back into action. It bogs some, but not for long. That thing can take the punishment. It's got tons more pitch and no tail blow outs.

I think it would be pretty cool if him and Bobby did a tandem synchronized flight with them.

It's going to be interesting what goes on with it.

Just a guess, but I'm thinking the upgrade may cost more than the basic heli! It may be worth it for some. I can barely keep up with mine stock.
Great flying!

I hope its a new upgrade. i just flew mine and i was being easy on the cyclic and the tail blew out. i was inverted and i was getting ready to flip out and i was just starting to add a little pitch and the tail blew out and it would not catch up so it turned to a bad piro flip that was unintentional. Getting tired of the tail and having vibes all the time. I think an upgrade is in an order.

We'll have to wait until Bert posts some more details about it. After flying it myself I'm definitely going to have it done to mine. It makes flying the mcpx actually fun. Th power, response and snap that it has is mind blowing. Mine has been sitting in the box for well over a month now.

I might like a 250 for goofing around in the backyard, but I know it'll never fly like it will in the hands of an expert. My mCPx can do a forward flip and sometimes stay at the same altitude, but not two in a row - and I frequently lose 6 feet when it bogs if my collective movements are not perfect.

If the Trex 100 is brushless, I predict they will take the whole market, as much as I love my mCPx.
