what expo do you use on your tail ?

- or + and how much ?

i noticed when i move my throttle stick up and down some times my gyro light blinks indicating that im applying rudder when im just trying to go from full to low collective without any rudder input .

-100% seems to work nice but i have not tasted it yet currently ive been using -10expo on my rudder.

I use a bit of expo on cyclic(-20) but I dont have any on rudder.

Maybe I'll give it a try,and see if I like it.Next time out I'll put a little expo on rudder and report back

With my JR 770 I use -50 expo but that gyro likes expo to calm it down I also use 85 on the DR to slow the piro speed. I dont use Expo on my 401 or align gyros.

0 expo, so the servo speed around center is unchanged

None = 0%

With Futaba, positive expo will make it touchier in the middle.

Positive gives a faster curve.
Negative is a slower curve.

Anything other than 0% adds expo one way or the other so again...No expo is 0% expo.

You're charging $50 an hour to set up helis?

Fender, with expo the servo speed is unchanged, how it reacts to stick input is.

thank you and me nor my ad ever said that.

my ad said 25 bucks for service period no hourly rate and if they have no money there is no charge for the needy.

go read the last page of that post.

doesn't negative expo slow the servo for the stick movement around center?

It just flattens out the curve so it is not as touchy around center stick.

0 expo actually flattens the curve and negative expo starts the curve the opposite direction to slow it even further.

-0 with a futaba is still kind of touchy

E McD do you have spectrum or futaba tx ?

futaba -0 is not the same as spectrum futaba is the opposite

wc,you keep saying -0.....0 is 0.what exactly do you mean by -0?0 means the servo is not affected in any way

but yes -20 on futaba slows the servo reaction(around center) and in Spec +20 does the same

I have a JR radio and I'm well aware that Futaba is the opposite.
That's why I gave the info I did.

If I was talking JR or Spektrum,I'd have said positive expo slows the servo through the center.

But since the title of the thread names a Futaba radio,I thought I'd keep it simple and just give Futaba related info.

What radio I use is irrelevant as I'm not the one with the problem.

You say the gyro lights with throttle input so you're obviously doing it on the bench.

Go fly it and see how it works.

If it is too much to handle the throttle without giving rudder input, tighten the gimbal for the rudder.
