Take a look at the FMA Multi4 or the Orbit Pocketlader.

True. I actually have 3 of these. I also have an icharger 106+. And an older triton.

I've found these detrum cheap chargers do what they advertise. The icharger is much nicer, but was more than 4x the cost.

For what you're looking for (nimh/nicd) charger, it's hard to beat this deal. I think you have to hit $25 to get the free shipping, I forget.

+1. I forgot about the Sirius. I had a Sirius and it's a great NiXx charger. The only charger I know that has a lifetime warranty.

Quite often folks only talk about features and rarely talk about the quality of charge. NiMh can often false peak and there are only handful of chargers I trust. The Sirius is an excellent NiXx charger.

Be aware that the Sirius Charge Pro has a timeout in the chip. On large packs, I have to unplug it and start over to get a full charge.

Example:

On the TX side it is supposed to be a 500 mAh pack. It charges up to about 1200 and stops. Start over and get the rest. Not a problem if you are just topping up.

Mine is about 25 years old and I still use it to charge my Heli and TX overnight. The charge termination works really well. Jim Oddino said this was the best charger he had ever used once upon a time.

Sirius Pro Plus
You can upgrade an old one to this spec or just get one for
really big packs. 4000ma Nicd, 3000ma Nimh on the receiver side.

If you want to use with your TX, make sure the diode in most is bipassed, jumpered out, removed. See tech stuff on their site.

Sirius sold out. The new owners have updated the Sirius Pro to the Pro Plus with higher charge rates.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THE NEW MODEL for NiMH packs such as Eneloops since the charge rate is excessive.

Although a great charger, the Sirius seems significantly overpriced for a fixed output charger with no LCD or cycle capabilities.

You would think so but I wouldn't trade mine for any other charger, as long as I need a nicad/nimh charger. To me, it's biggest limitation is NOT being able to do a 5 cell pack. I like being able to plug it in and not have to mess with it. It just plain works!!!! I like mine so well that I have three of 'em!!!!

if you can find a Litco Alpha 4, those things were terrific for NiCd/NiMH batteries (guess I'm showing my age). I still have 2 of them that I use on occasion

charge/discharge, 4 at once, multiple charge/discharge modes. The biggest issue was that it had a max charge capacity for all ports. The more batteries you charged, the less capacity was available for each

they would never support the newer chemistry's though.

What makes you think the Sirius won't do a 5 cell pack ?

If the green LED comes on, it's good to go. Apparently you never read the instructions:
