What are your thoughts of this system ... The Guai 3 axes gyro is OK but looking for something a bit better .. This has position hold and GPS .. What are your thoughts?

Thank you ..

Well, Everything arrived in good order. This really looks nice, I will update on the flying progress. Setup is pretty straight forward as long as the 40 page manual is followed! With my short span of attention this should be fun. Here are a few pictures of the Unit and the VC-450 frame. This is my second frame set! The first I simply threw all my 330X parts onto it .. this one will have 750kv motors and 10 ½: props along with 30amp controllers ..

Did the first couple of flights this morning. I must say that the controller works fine .. no issues at all! I put the Quad into a hover about 20 feet up and switched into GPS Hold. It wandered maybe 2 or 3 feet then settled into a solid hover. After 3 minutes it was still just sitting there in the same spot, Then I flew her about 100 or so feet away and switched into Return Home .. I must say this was real weird seeing the quad flying back at me! I really wanted to grab the sticks but kept my cool and let it fly! It then settled into a hover were I first did the GPS Hold. This is a wonderful system and I am very Pleased with it! For Under $400 this Huge Value and you get a lot of Bang out of the buck!! I am looking at the FY606 to add to this .. That will give me Auto Takeoff and Landing plus Waypoints from my Laptop!! Just point and Click!!

My Quad is:
VC450 frames
750KV motors
30 amp Speed controls
FY91Q with GPS
4000mah 3S Lipo
10 x 4.5 props

I get a good 15 minute flight time with this setup.

The Setup actually took about 20 minutes. Most of this time was following the manual! Simpler than the Guai!

Thats the reason I went with this unit .. Can't really do anything with the Gaui 344 controller .... This really makes it simple!

I did some simple changes after playing with eCalc. I tried some 11 4.7 propellers with excellent results! Same setup as before so I had a benchmark to work from .. flight times went UP to 18 minutes or about 12% less amp load. So I added all the FPV units and extra batts for those units .. weight now is at 1496 grams .. flight time is now 14 minutes which is what I was looking for ... My timer is now set to 10 minutes with reserve tp spare ..

Here is a short Video of the VC450 Quad flying with GPS and Altitude hold .. Really is kind of strange to fly .. just push the stick forward and the quad moves slowly forward .. Enjoy.

What kind of camera and mount are you using in the picture. Where did you get the rod and ball for the front. Which battery are you using.

Thanks

Do you need anything special to mount the camera or does that come with the camera.

Thanks
