i have had my main gear slip down on the main shaft after crashes many times. i broke one installing it again because the landing gear gets in the way. i found a easy way to reseat it with out the risk of breaking the gear.

use a small box wrench and use the bigger of the short ends and put it on the main gear hub. with your thumb on the box wrench and your index finder on the head hub, squeeze together until you feel the gear slip back up into place. i carry a box wrench in my pocket when i fly in case it slips. the alum main shaft extends below the bottom of the gear so pushing with a finger wont seat it all the way on.

hope someone can use this

When reseating the main gear you need to be sure the flat in the main shaft aligns with the flat in the opening of the main gear. I sometimes need to apply a twisting motion while reseating in order to bring them into alignment.

i have some mods and upgrades on there that i think make a difference:
1 - microheli blade grips
2 - microheli alum head
3 - microheli alum swash
4 - microheli alum main shaft
5 - kbdd main blades
6 - solo pro tail prop
7 - extended tail booms
8 - alum tail motor mount

yeah, i guess it is pretty blinged out, i didnt realize how many upgrades i have put on it! it flies great tho!

plus i have seen worse!!

Good idea.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

I personally use a pen with the tip removed.. It fits right over the hub and sits on the thick solid part of the gear and not the spokes.

I perform precision manuevers called crashes.

try this
If your using the stock shaft find a small washer and a very tiny screw put the washer over the shaft then put the screw in and I almost never have to put it back. I think that when you slam the sticks it pulls the gear down and causes you to loose control because I no longer have strange crashes.

put the washer between the bearing and the main gear, or after the main gear?

washer
No the washer goes on after the gear. If you look closly you will see that there is a small amount of the shaft sticking out past the main gear you need to take up that space then put the screw in. Finding the right screw is the challenge. The washer is less important than the screw as I think that the screw expands the main shaft just enough to keep the gear on better.
