Hi guys, I have a Fusion 50E and im not sure which is better. I like fast but smooth transitions for maneuvers. So what is better. Edge 603 or Edge 623. This is FBL
Thanks

If you like kicking your heli a little more then get the 623.

so correct me if i am wrong, but doesnt smaller the blades (603's) make faster cyclic response, and the bigger (623's) make for more pop or torque?

Preference of blade size will depend on how you like your heli loaded. If you like a slightly heavier feel to your heli, get the 603's. If you like a bit more floatiness, go for the 623's.

All other things being equal on the heli like HS, max pitch and weight, the bigger blades will give more collective and cyclic power. That's provided your engine can handle the extra load.

IMO, 0.50 size engines and weaker electric motors are better on 603's. Big bore engines like the YS56, etc. can handle the 623's just fine without bogging. Of course, good collective management is always required.

Thanks guys! I ordered up the 623's. Im running the align 700mx motor(for 90 class heli) on my fusion. So i think it will have more than enough power. Thanks both of you

On teh Fusion and the velocity both they were designed from the ground up on 620+ blades..

600s on that bird just feel small. and look ridiculous with that much boom behind them.. the stock boom will swing 640s.

on a 12S 700 powerplant on the Fusion you want more blade..
640s would be even better with that much power on tap.

I fly nothing shorter than the 623s.. looking at the Radix 625s and if more companies had FBL 640s would use them all day long as well.

with 623s on a 4035-500 here it's flat ballistic.

Thanks USNaviationjay!

I cant wait to give them a whirl and see how it reacts. And for same price as 603's why not right? But new heli, and cant wait to find out. Thanks

I put some 623 edge blades on my NEX with a YS 56 and they fly much better than the 603 edge blades i had on it,it autos like a 90 now also. Cyclic is still very quick with 2100 headspeed.

And that's also what I like about these blades, is dropping the head speed a little. Im able to save a tad bit of energy in maneuvers, and only losing about 20seconds of flight, but I'd rather have performance over flight time. (sometimes)
Anyone check this video out with Bert K

I filmed that youtube Video. The flight was super impressive and Bert was really enjoying the hang, pop and crack of those blades.. but the downside was it chews more mAh in a flight.

If I remember correctly, it shaved about a minute off his normal flight time, so he went back to 603's because the flight time sacrifice was a little too high.

On a nitro, the decision is a no brainer, always opt for the bigger blades if you can run them. On an electric machine, you need give it a little bit more consideration on what you want from the heli.

These blades are really sweet! Tried them the other day and wow! Tons of power. Might consider that mah drainage. I did notice flight time was pretty short
