Hey, I wanted something smaller and am going to buy a Logo 400se tonight. All I have is 90's at the moment. My question is, what do I need besides the kit and electronics? Do I need some sort of ground for the boom? Is that something I make myself or is there a part number for it? Are there any mods that should be done right off the bat? Thanks and here are my already purchased components:

Scorpion 4015-1070 w 22 tooth pinion, Jive 80lv w heatsink, bls 251, Hitec mighty mini x 3, edge 473 and edge 85 tails, mini v blue and sats, 3 x TP g4 45c 3250 batts.

What did happen with the TDR? Now you need to get use to a very small helicopter.
I had a Logo 400, and perhaps when you read this you already ordered it.
The issue that I had was, that I order the heli and JR Servos.
The logo 400 do not use the standard servos and the JR and Futaba are different size. And there is a logo 400 with frames for Futaba and another one with Frames for JR.
It is a fun Heli. and yes you need to ground it. I did it in two places one from the motor base to the tail boon and the other one in the tail. And the other wire in the tail fin. From the screw in the bearing to the tail boon.

Thanks
Yea the TDR is still in pieces. I still don't know why I lost power. I am clueless to whether I had a hard jive shut down or my main pack unplugged doing flips.the battery's are fine.
I just needed something that I can fly in town and doesn't cost $500 every wreck. Two srimoks and a TDR can get pretty spendy.

I haven't heard of too many people getting static spikes on the L400.
If your using a Futaba/FAAST setup your don't need the static mod at all. Never had a problem even on Spectrum when I was using it. I did put a static line on it after for piece of mind as some people where having problems on the Logo500/600 though just from the motor mount to boom, that's it.

Like others have mentioned, make sure you get the frame set to match your servo's as there are 3 different sets I think. I use Futaba 9650's and BLS153's on my 2 L400's.

Oh, I also recommend putting a bridging plate across where you mount the vbar. Helps with vibs. I also run mod 0.7 main and counter gears.

Lastly, use plastic bolts to mount your skids to the frames. That way they will break in a crash and not the tabs on the frames. Could save you a time consuming rebuild down the track. They have for me.
