I got a good deal on a V2 700e so I decided to build it as a beater heli so the Logo doesnt take so much wear and tear. After building it, I have to say that the V2 is the nicest Align heli I have ever built. A lot of the problems have been addressed and it is now beefy as heck.

Setup:
Kontronic 120HV Jive
Stock 700MX motor
Futaba BLS 451 cyclics
Align DS 650 tail
Vbar
KDE 3rd bearing
TrueBlood Dampeners
Mavrikk G5 Pro WC FBL Blades/ Im selling the stock 3g Blades
KBDD 105 tail blades
Turnigy 30-40c 5000 Mah packs 12s
Futaba 3 channel receiver SBUS
There are a couple other things, but nothing important.

Man I am dying to go fly it, but I have to go to a dang block party the neighbors throw every year this evening. Get to hang out with a bunch of 70 year olds. Only good thing about it is that the old guys just sit and drink beer, of which I will be partaking!!

Test flew it tonight, very nice. I am having some trouble getting the tail dialed in at 1900 headspeed. Does the tail gearing require higher headspeeds to hold properly?

Also, I had the motor counter bearing take a crap on me on the second flight, will upgrade to bocca.

My buddy flys with 115mm tail blades, says that fixes the problem.

Nice flying man!

Thanks for posting the video. It's enjoyable to see normal-amateur-true heli flying class videos of pilots enjoying their machines. Not the kind of "jumping backward flight" videos doing the same thing all over and over again.

Tail should hold fine at 1900, have you tried upping the gain?

I'm going to do some more tweaking on it tmw. I was pushing it pretty hard and the tail was blowing out in high speed backwards flight. It just needs to be played with. Gain is pretty high already though. I need to increase collective comp also. Might try decreasing collective a little too.

The manual wants a 100% throttle curve!! That's nuts but will probably solve my tail issue. I will setup a 2100 headspeed and see what happens.
