So I recently decided to start using Fromeco Arizona regulators again. I have had 2 Align 2 in 1"s fail on me in the last year (thankfully not in flight) and I don't want to run the risk anymore. One of my models is a 600n with a 3G. I am having a hard time figuring out how to hook up the leads. The Arizona feeds power into the gyro plugs (channels 4 and 5 on Futaba), but the 3G is connected to those plugs. I guess I can put the pins on the elevator, pitch or the gain connector. I also don't see any way I can use the dedicated 5V gyro circuit on the regulator. I still need to use the stepdown on the gyro. Also, is 1 set of wires sufficient power for the 3G unit and all the servos?

Here is how to do it:

Lead from Arizona for Rudder plugs to rudder channel on 3G (Adjustable voltage to 3G)

Rudder servo lead plugs to Arizona Rudder plug (5V to rudder servo)

Lead from Arizona for gyro gain plugs to any spare channel on Rx (Adjustable voltage to Rx as well)

You will plug nothing into the gain channel on the Arizona

No need for step down this way. Adjustable voltage output will be feeding the Rx and 3G and gives you a rather robust power system

That's what I was looking for!! It seems like this is a better setup than stock, because each unit has its own 6V power source.

So basically: Red male goes into the rudder channel on the 3G. Rudder servo plugs into the Red Female (or on the board depending on model). Green male plugs into available channel (or in my case, just the power pins, no spare channels), green female goes nowhere.

It makes perfect sense now.
