Even though I don't smoke, anything, I'm addicted to his podcast (The Joe Rogan Experience) and watch as many of his standup acts as i can find online or on iTunes.

Talking Monkeys in Space is hilarious!

that guy is great! wow, you are from the UAE, thats crazy that we are talking on a heli forum and you are a world away! pretty fricken sweet that two people from opposite ends of the world can be totally into the same things and talk like we were sitting on the couch together watching a UFC!

maybe if everyone flew heli's and watched the UFC there wouldnt be any war!!! (i should run for president)

You don't fully appreciate the high-level fighters skills until you start training yourself. Sort of like flying helis. A non pilot may be impressed with Tareq or Szabo or Nick Maxwell, but his eyes are really onpened when he gets a heli and starts trying to hover it. It makes you feel pretty insignificant!

I do think Dana White will dismantle Strikeforce. Some of the fighters will come to the UFC and alot will fade away with the Strikeforce brand. That's what he did with Pride and WEC. At least they had Strikeforce to fall back to. I really think it's a shame because there are too many good fighters out there for one organization. You would have to have a UFC event every week to keep them all busy. I hope I'm wrong, because I don't have to be watching one of the top 10 fighters in a weight class to enjoy a fight.

+1. but i dont think dana white would mind having a ufc every weekend and maybe a couple thrown in during the week. i really dont like that guy, i dont think he has the best interest of the fighters in mind when he makes decisions. i guess that is business for ya.

i agree with the training for helis and fighting. not sure if you read the whole thread but i knocked out Kimbo years ago, but that was only because i was a street fighter and not an mma fighter.

with helis, i totally agree too. i remember seeing a guy fly one by my house when i was really young. when i started, i set my goal as 'if i can take off and keep the thing airborn until the end of the pack, ive succeeded'. i always remember that when i see these 12 year old kids doing piro flips and ****. just hovering a heli is a huge accomplishment. people always forget that.

Yeah, sometimes we diminish our own accomplishments because we see others flying better. We still have a lot of work in getting to our own level and should be proud what we can do.

Did they video your fight with Kimbo? I remember seeing him get knocked out in a dojo or gym. Was that you?

Yeah, its fun to talk about 2 of my main interests on the same forum!

If it wasn't for my bad knee and big belly, i'd probably be training BJJ instead of flying helis!

Does Chuck Norris count?!! lol

Matt Hamill, Tito, GSP, Heath Herring, Randy Couture, Frank Mir, Big Nog, Rich Franklin, Chuck Liddell, Kimbo, Anderson Silva, BJ Penn, and Krzysztof Soszynski are a few UFC fighters that i can remember being in movies...

Does a UFC fighter's wife count? If yes, then Jenna Jameson!!!

jenna jameson looks a lot better now (i think) compared to when she was all tramped out with the huge bolt-on ****. i like women more 'natural', thats not true, i just like women.

im pretty good friends with Rich Franklin, he was close to coming to ircha with me last year until i was hit by a logo 600se the day before we (plus his wife and mine) were going to leave.

So whats the prediction for tonights UFC fight , Rashad Evans , and Tito Ortiz?
I'm thinking Evans will beat the crap out of Ortiz . I don't like Ortiz he's a cocky SOB!
Loved it when Randy Cotoure spanked his tall like a child!

I watched it. Rashad ended it in the 2nd with a knee to titos chest! Smack dab in the sternum,! Tito was on his knees when he took it, I'm glad ufc changed the rule to allow knees to the body while the fighter is kneeling on the mat, just can't knee to the dome while he is on the mat. This sets up the fight between bones jones and evans.
Thats going to be a good fight , my pick is jones.

@mr dan- Rashad gets the winner of Rampage vs. Bones Jones. I can't see Rampage winning that fight without some luck on his side. He has a puncher's chance and that's about all. I think Jones will be in and out quick, with punches, kicks, elbows, and spinning backfists coming from all angles. God forbid Rampage ends up on his back, he'll end up like Brandon Vera with broken facial bones.

@bigben- Rashad's flurry in the second round was reminiscent of Chuck vs Tito. Ortiz tried to cover, but Sugar was just punching around and through Tito's arms. He finally slid down to the mat and the end was eminent. I think Evan's actually showed mercy by not throwing a second knee. He had him in position for a second knee, but could see how much damage was inflicted by the first one. There was no fight left in the HBBB. Just about what I expected. Tito is NOT a top contender.

Vitor Belfort defeated Akiyama. He still has great hand speed. A few punches at the end were square on the back of Akiyama's head, but I think he was too out of it to continue regardless.

Matt Hamil lost again via tko in the 2nd. I like Hamil, but he always seems slow and slightly out of shape. He sits down on his punches too much and is always ripe for counters. He also ducks his head a lot and can't possibly see the counters coming.

Jorge Rivera lost via split decision. He's another fighter that I really like. I wish he could turn his conditioning up a notch or two. He was nearly TKO'd in the second round and recovered enough to keep it a close fight. I think if Phillipou's conditioning were better, he would have finished the fight.

Rory McDonald finished Mike Pyle in the first round via TKO. Rory will be a dominant welterweight soon. This fight was impressive, but I think his defeat of Nate Diaz in May of this year was more impressive. For those that didn't see that one, he took Nate's back repeatedly, picking him up and power slamming him. Very strong!
