They had the 3x18 screws today, I bought them and two sets of the V2 grips. My 700E went down last week because of yet another TR grip bolt shearing off

Is this more of an issue with the bolts or the tail grip design??

New tail grips
Hi,

I ordered my kit at the end of Sept. It came with the fixed (hopefully!!) ICE2 HV 80, the new tail grips (silver) with the thrust bearing, but it came with only the 95mm blades.

So it seems there are some variations going on.

this is my first build for 50 size heli. I was thinking of putting a Scorpion 4035-560 for this heli . what do you think ? i saw some one fit a 4035-500. Just an idea if somebody use this set up. I am using ICE2 80HV. thanks-Mike

That should fit with adding a few washers to the front servos and a little modification on the motor mounting plate. However, if you want to be a 3D monster, go with the Align 700MX 560KV motor. It's cheaper and runs cooler. That's my opinion.

Thanks mtdv. Just a small question. Would that 700MX -560 work with my Ice 80HV ? and what MOD should I need if i decide to go with 4035-560 , beside the washer ? also , Helidirect just come out the new outrage motor for it's new fusion and it cost $149.99. humh ..too many choices

I did not use the ICE 80HV, but I used the 85HV on my 700E with 700MX motor.

Beside adding washers to allow a clearance of the HK4035 motor, you will need to modify the motor mount. Depending on the servo, you may have to file off the side of the servo mount for ease of installation.

Never have used an Outrage motor, so I don't know how it performs.

What swash %'s are you guys using?

Also what pitch range have you setup?? Mines looks to be around the 50% mark yet the manual says around 35%. At 35% I get only around 9 degrees pitch.

Im using Futaba 12Z but I dont think it matters.

My 600 crashed last week when the local pro was checking it after going from 4deg to 10deg, and what we can figure was the 3gx popped off the sticky pad. I ordered an new kit (less electronics) and I just finished putting it back together. hen I power it up, the STATUS light on the 3GX blinks from red to greed (over and over). The rx sats LED's are solid, so it's bound. Anyone ever seen this? The swash does't go up and down three times, and no power is going to the servos.
