Is Magnum Fuel any good
Ok, before I go and spend $230 on a summer's worth of fuel, is Magnum any good? My LHS just closed (owner went to jail for embezzlement) so I can't buy my Curtis Youngblood fuel anymore. I am not going to pay hazmat and this Magnum is a really good price with the shipping. Is it a good fuel? Is the DS 30 series as good as the Heli Plus 30%? I was going to get 6 bottles of Heli Plus and 2 of DS 30. I imagine that the DS is minus nitro, but apparently performes well.

performs very well. I used to use the Wildcat but the price of the DS was so atractive that I switched.I've gone through about 50gals so far all is good.

Makes great power decent smoke trail.

Funny, I used Rapicon for the better part of last year (then Commonsense R/C stopped carrying it), and I had bearing problems in the OS .50.

Is there any noticible difference between the DS 30 and the Heli Plus w/ nitro 30?

What you ran was several generations removed from the current blend.

The DS series performes as well or better than the true 30% nitro. I switched early last year with no regrets. I fly competition FAI type helis where you need smooth power, and it delivers. The price is nice too.
The only thing I don't like, it smells like funky waffle cones, so I try to stay upwind, lol

If you can guess that correctly without using a gas spectrometer I'll send you a shinny buffalo nickel. lol

Buzz once told me is a family secret, then that whole family was transported to another planet. <--- is joke guys

What's in it? dont care, it works and cheaper than the alternatives.

I am not thinking about performance, rather health and safety. Is an MSDS not required for all chemical products?

Magnum has an MSDS sheet on it, however you would most likely have to call them and request it, You will find most fuel MFG's don't post that type of information on websites d/t the fact that most pilots don't care about an MSDS Sheet. They just want a fuel that when used provides good power and the more affordable the better!!AMA 685330 IRCHA 3966

A MSDS sheet is required by law on all products sold.
Every major Mfg of RC fuels has an MSDS sheet available on their web sites.
