I'm thinking of stepping out of the hobby...Update!
After a recent frustrating electrical problem and several dollars spent, I'm thinking of saying to hell with it for a couple of months. I'll get back into it with a fresh state of mind and hopefully get my 550E back in the air. Sometimes you just have to walk away before you do something out of anger that you will regret later on. I've also thought about selling it and starting over later in the summer. Thanx to all those who offered advice, suggestions, and all other tips to help me out!

Have a great summer of flying everyone, and I'll chat w/ you all later!

When I get frustrated with things that fly, I screw around with R/C Boats....until that gets old and I revert back to planes...then helis, then boats, and well, you get the idea!

I thought about taking some time off this season. I have been messing around with an 1/8 scale buggy over the winter. They are a lot of fun but not as big of a cost savings as I had thought it would be in comparison to helicopters. Seems like a cheap day at the track was $50.00.
Any way, I mentioned taking some time off helis to my wife, she said "You better not, as much money you have in those things you better fly them."
I put 7 1/2 flights in, in two outings and crashed. Now she feels bad for me, she hates when I crash.

There are only two levels of RC toys - #1 "way too many" and #2 "more than that"......The older I get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

Keep plugging away to fix your issues before you leave. It will make it much easier and more enjoyable to come back if you leave on a good note.

Giving up and failure shouldn't be an option.

Nothing wrong with taking a break. Makes the hobby better. I have my mountain biking as an alternate activity. Right now I do both but it's nice to have one when I don't feel like doing the other.

Bail out. I took some time off a few years back from R/C planks to go get another degree. After graduation, bought myself my first heli and it's all downhill from there! Now my renewed passion consumes my life and my wife thinks I'm addicted...I think she may be right...High Voltage just works better

Taking a little time off can be a good thing. I'm prepared to offer you the sum of $100 for your 550E, which I will guard until you return to the hobby. I'll polish it every night and await your call for me to send it back...

Enjoy your time off. When you get back, we will still be here, and probably beating up the same old stuff. Until then, have a great summer.Hey, Who put the ground there!

I'll up the offer on the 550 by $10 and I'll make sure I'll fly it every day so it wont rust

you don't want to take time off and get all rusty, just bang the 450 around, is cheap to fix
