X50 Main rotor hub slop
Hello all: I'm setting up a new Titan X50 belt drive, and noticed that my main rotor hub has no slots cut in it at the bottom of the hub as per all the drawings in the assembley manual. With the screws tight at the hub and the main shaft , I have alot of slop. At the tip of the main rotor blade it is approx. 1/4" up and down. I'm pretty sure this is not good ,I'm thinking I should get with tech support, any one else run into this problem ? Thanks TomBob

Yes the rotor hub should have slots !!! I have three X50's, factory proto type belt version, production belt drive version and also tube drive version all have slots. It needs to be slotted to clamp onto the main mast. Get back to the shop you got it from or send them a digital photo I am sure TT will get it sorted.
Thats another question did you buy it from a shop ? Did the part get removed from the kit and replaced with another head ?
Good luck you will love it.

I was wondering about that, mine also has no slots, but was a very tight fit. Luckily no slop so far, but I'm going to call hobby services now.Chris

yep as stated they have slots. Tom, my X50 kit had two of the same bearing blocks for the starter shaft. I called the hobby shop and they pulled one from another kit for me. And like Poppyd said,"you will love it" you will. I dont wanna fly my SE any more lolTT X50 Nitro

I just spoke with Hobby Services and was informed that the non-slotted mainblocks were implemented to prevent cracking that was ocurring at the slots on the earlier blocks.Chris

By the way I think the two bolts needs to be tighten properly before you fly, check for any slop with the center hub "moving". if you just tighten it, there will be slop..I am a noob flyer from Singapore! Team Nitro Magic

I been told by Micheal that the new hubs will not have slots ! This info is direct from TT.
I have not herd of any of the slotted ones cracking. I would like to see a picture if any one has one that is cracked ( not from crashing ).
