General 2.4 Gig Question
Does 2.4 have bi directional communication? The receiver talks back to the transmitter? Seems it must, for it to be able to frequency hop. Especially with telemetry. And if so, the receiver transmits back through its two receiving antennas? Just curious.
Thanks

No. Hopping on some systems is by pseudo-random schemes set in the TX at the time the TX and RX link up.

Basically a low powered TX in your RX that talks to the RX in your TX.

So a receiver that has telemetry has different send and receive antennas?

The Spektrum and Hitec telemetry use separate devices to send the telemetry info to your TX.

edit: looks like the Hitec has the actual telemetry data transmitted from the receiver. Above device provides additional sensor hookups. I haven't used the Hitec yet.

I see, thanks. Where is the receive antenna located on the transmitter?

yes, communication is bi-directional.

Its how a DSMX transmitter knows to step down to DSM2 and how the DSM2 radios used to communicate with the DSM recievers
