Where to find exhaust deflector
Hey guys - I have a helibug conversion with Zenoah 260, century torpedo v2 slim muffler. I have been unable to locate a deflector to fit this muffler. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you need one? There shouldn't be any smoke or oil to deflect. I don't think there are any made to specifically fit. You might be able to get some existing nitro models to go on there....but I wouldn't.

I believe this will change the back pressure and affect performance. Whether it does so in a good way, I dunno.

I have never seen a gasser with a deflector. One of the many benefits of gassers is no spoke, oil, slime, etc...
Gassers Rule, Nitros Drool, Electrics...uhhh...Joule?

Where to get muffler deflector
Rototerrier:
I believe your are right, about not needing one, Mine recently started leaving some black on the tail boom. I believe the oil/gas mixture was too high, so I moved the mixture to my weedeater gas and will mix new at 40:1.

deflector or restrector ?
Are you referring to a restrictor or deflector?
A deflector can be made of a copper 22.5 or 45 degree 1/2 in. copper elbow. The restrictors are not available.

I used a deflector on my old gasser. It was meant for nitro but it worked just fine on the gasser.

I thought those would burn up in short order/ Isnt the exhaust alot hotter than nitro ? I think that they don't last with nitro 4 strokes as they cant take the heat.Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

I used it for 2 years till I sold it. All that burned up was the plastic zip ties that I used to keep it on.

Just use a large nitro and streach it on, then use a small zip tie.
Helps keep some of the crap off the tail.
