TDR 710 blade recommendation..FAI or FBL?
I dug through 3 pages of Google results and didn't see anybody directly stating the real difference from Radix FBL and FAI blades. I've got a set of FBL 690s and loved them on my Logo 600SE but now that the TDR is in route I'm looking to get a set of 710s for all-out hauling the mail. What is the real difference in these? I'd love to hear your thoughts before I pull the trigger. I've flown CY blades on 5 different helis and had great results all around.

As always, the knowledge base of RR is a priceless tool and I'd love to hear your views. I'm planning on a call to CY Ent come Monday but I'd be pretty stupid not to ask folks that have used them both.

There is in 710MM:

SB: 175grams too light for FBL (very pitchy)
Normal: 185G best all round IMHO for 3D and speed
FBL: 200grams better for speed flight and does some smooth 3D
FAI: 230grams, best suited for lower RPM (under 1900) and FFF and smooth flying.

I have both radix std and edge f/less on different machines and fly hard 3d as well as fff, both works equally well.
What version u go for depends on youre type of flying but i'd recommend f/less since theyre designed for this, however especially on vbar 5.1 you can pretty much setup one blade to "feel" like the other.
Common sense may not be common after all

Brian from CYE called me Monday morning. Looks like I'll just pick up a set of 700FBL to match my 690FBL set. That should give me a little bit of rock and roll and still be able to burn down the runway without undue drama. Once you try steak, is hard to go back to hotdogs.

I accidentally got a set of Radix 710 FAI blades when I ordered standards for my Srimok, I got the green light to try them before returning them and they are way different than standard blades. You really notice it when you try to do very quick maneuvers and pitch pumping maneuvers. I didn't notice as much of a difference just cruising and "speeding". I can't see why they would be any faster, they are best at staying in one place... I just got my TDR blades today, I picked standard Radix 710's after scouring the threads and talking to a TDR owner. Still can believe I didn't get FBL (that's what's on my Rave ENV 90). At least now I can try both and easily sell or trade if I don't care for one or the other.

I just ordered a set of regular 710s today. This shouldn't give me full speed of a FBL 710 but I'll have a bit more disk to rip the sky with and quicker blade to boot. The 690FBL I'll run until the new ones show up. Maidened mine today but just hovered it for HS settings. Tomorrow I'll trim flight it and beat a few packs through it. At least I'll know what these can do inside of 12 hours. Once you try steak, is hard to go back to hotdogs.

Looking forward to your "review" of these different blades. And the TDR! I'm trying to stretch the build, blades and Vbar came in the mail today but I still haven't gotten my ESC
