Flew Matt's N5c today!
And all I can say is WOW! The new Rail Blades are awesome, Tracked very well, had pop and the model flew light...almost too light for me.
Now I'm not sure if I just get the frames or a new heli. Thanks Matt for the help on my 750 and letting me take the N5c for a spin!

From a quick glance tip may look similar but its completely different and a unique design for rail blades.

They are actually very different from RotorTech. The tip is completely different, the airfoil is completely different, and the cord width is different. Not to mention all of the time I spent getting the CG's right for FBL and FB. I designed the tip specifically to be smooth and quiet with cyclic inputs but they will still give a bark when you pop the collective.

I'm interested to try these, lets hope they are competitively priced. My LHS now wants £105 ($170) for a pair of 690 Radix

Is yours FBL. It has the std stuff,8917 servos,YS 56,outrage muffler,3000ma battery, but is had G10 frames and a lot of aluminum parts which are heavier than plastic.Dont see how it can lose 1/2 pound.YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE..IF YOU LIVE IT RIGHT THATS ALL YOU NEED

My stock N5 with G10 frames, BLS servos, OS55 Funtech B320 and flybar, weighs around 8 pound dry - but when that motor is singing, it sure doesn't feel heavy.

There will always be lighter heli's out there, but even the std N5 is by no means a fatty - in fact living in England where the wind is often quite strong, I prefer a little weight for stability when not chucking it around.

Mine weight was with the fb on it. I havnt weighed it fbl yet. The difference between Futaba and JR servos are quite stagering. I think Futaba is around 1.2oz (8917/bls451) lighter than JR for a set of 3 cyclic servos. The 3000mah battery is too big. I put a 1900mah 2cell lipo in mine and got 4 flights on one charge easy. I found the right battery is key on getting the weight down.
Mine is stock N5 with aluminum bearing blocks added.
