The settings noted above will be quite close for CP30% as well. Maybe try 1.5 turns on the HS needle and see if you can do down a fuzz from there. AFTER the high speed is set, the midrange MIGHT tolerate a click or two leaner.

Comparing needle settings is dangerous business. Every motor is different. Ambient conditions vary as well as flying styles. You HAVE to ABSOLUTELY recognize a lean condition-it may run terrible very rich but you won't burn it down.

Its not a hard motor to tune. If you are getting good power on climbouts and you can still touch the backplate when you land you are reasonably safe. If the motor is VERY touchy to throttle response, chances are you are lean.

They usually run the best-right before they blow.

Compering needles setting can be dangerous, but know a ball park is fine. Most ppl i know that run this engine. There setting end up around. 1.25 to (1.5 +3 )clicks on High. And on the Mid .5 to .75. Persnaly i'm at 1.5 + 2 clicks H and .5 + 3 clicks on M. I have good power but still a little fat. My flight times around 7.5 mins on FBL with mild 3d. I you want a good video on tune. Look up Tim Jones tuning the YS120. BTW tune your engine with the governor OFFFFFFFFF.
Also what shims are you using and how long is your pressure tube to the 1 way valve. If your line is too short, your engine will all ways run fat, and even spit fuel out the carb. BTW this is on Cool Power 30%. That is the only fuel we run by me.
