Protos Tail Issue
1. I have carbon kit for protos with complete tail assembly from infinity hobby (everything which could be me CNC) deployed on the tail. I am using spartan quark and BLS 251 for the tail. when I move the servo arm with hand I can feel the movement takes a bit of effort/power, definitely much more than on TREX700 with BLS251. I have checked everything every slider bushes, bearings. Everything works perfect until i connect the linkages on the tail(MSH50094 see the attached pic) to the tail rotor blade grips. Due to some non linear movement or something I can't guess, the whole tail pitch movement starts to put load on the servo so it heats up.

2. In the second picture where I installed the tail pitch lever srews these screws have a gap of around 1.5 mm from the inside pulley (MSH50095 shown in picture). Due to this gap the tail has play which eventually creates tail shivering. For the time being i wrapped two rounds of copper wire to fill the gap. Can anyone give some better idea

Above two problems existed right from the box. Even though I changed the whole tail assembly these problems still exist.

i had a similar issue.

use the ball reamer and make sure the ball links to the pitch slider are nice and smooth. they should move really easy. also, where the control arm mounts to the tail case, make sure the nut is fairly tight. there is a bushing that should be longer than the bearing seats and should keep the mount from locking up the control arm. this will take the play out and prevent wag as well.

almost every ball link on my protos 500s needed to be reamed. if any are tight you will have poor performance.
My crashes are cooler than your flying! ;^)

you should disconnect the pitch lever from the push rod and move it by hand...try to get a feel to where it has too much friction. Debug one part at the time until everything moves smoothly.
