The 12X feels better than the 10X because it doesnt have that long ass antena on it so its lighter......you CAN feel the differenceYOU ONLY LIVE ONCE..IF YOU LIVE IT RIGHT THATS ALL YOU NEED

agree.
I run a G-Force balancer to make mine sit right on my neck strap.

I have the 11X and the 12X and they both go to the field with me every time I fly. The 12X is heavier, and is a great radio, but my 11X is starting to grow on me more and more. The look is definitely weird, but one thing I like is the 11X is easy to keep clean, there are not so many nooks and crannies to collect dust. I also like the programming software on the 11X much better than the 12X. I can't really tell the difference in the gimbals, they feel about the same to me. The resolution of the 11X screen is better as well. Switch assignability in the 11X is a breeze, and you don't have to turn off the radio to switch models. I think I like my 11X better, I just wish it had a metal case.

I personally WILL NOT fly Spektrum at IRCHA. Too many weird occurrences at big events like IRCHA and Nall. I've been unaffected, but why take a chance?

The occurrences of planes and helicopters flying on Spektrum falling out of the sky at large events. I'm fortunate to not have been affected myself, but I have seen seen helicopters fall out of the sky.

This is a known issue which Spektrum admits in the 1st minute of this video

Watch at YouTube

Sure, I could just upgrade all my equipment to DSMx, but why?
Its almost cheaper to switch to Futaba at this point. (which I did this week)

Most of us in the scale section flew DSM. Most had 12X's and the rest had X9303/X9503's or Spektrum modules in MC-24 radios. I actually don't recall any Futaba radios but their might have been a couple. We were just right of show center and flew all day, every day on our own, nice large flight station. I like to fly big, big air so I would venture out of the box a little. No one at IRCHA, and I mean absolutely no one, flew higher or further away than I did. I was basically flying as far out as the road with the field mainteneance buildings and nearly as far east as the road to site 3- from where the red box is all throughout the area bordered in green. The most fun was right in the middle of the day on Saturday. Gotta love that big air.

Never once had a problem of any kind during my twenty two flights there. The most antenna fades I had on one RX was 32. That is higher than usual- it's usually under 10. I did atribute that to the congested RF environment. No one else had any issues at the scale tent with DSM either. It was rock solid. A great test of DSM and all of the 2.4GHz gear for sure.
