Has anyone ran that 91HZ-r 3D
Has anyone ran one of the new motors from os yet? Just wanna know if its a big difference from the regular 91 motor that everyone has in there 700? Is it easy to tune and is it a lot more power then the 91hz or the align 91?

i have the hzr its amazeing
but was tricky tuneing it cause the regulator will let it run ok at almost any needle setting (rich)

it was pig rich and still made gobs of power it took me a few trips to the feild to get it

and it is the most consistant running nitro i ever had from full to empty very happy with it even tho its a little pricy
no babe i swear i sold my other heli to buy this one :)

I think the 3D is overpriced for how much extra power you get. What is it, like 50$ more for 2/10th more power? Not worth it in my opinion.

i have just the hzr i have more power than i know what to do with and to tell you the truth its in a raptor 90 se witch is what 10 lbs heavier than a rex lol so i dont know how i would be able to tell the difference in power

what is the big difference is the pump and regulated just a nice consistant run thu the whole tank
no babe i swear i sold my other heli to buy this one :)

Hzr 3d a few thing to know

use the carb off the hzr the bore is a little smaller and tune better the carb on the 3d is to large unless has Fix it not sure bore should be 10.8 on the 3d if larger use the hzr carb. Shim the head to .16 for 30% fuel the OS pipe makes great power. the align pipe work and makes great power also

IMHO, unless you are excellent pilot with great collective management the 91HZ-R will be more than enough motor. I have it on my 700 with a Hatori SB-20 and the motor is a stump puller with two shims in it, .01+.02 and 30% Nitro.

91HZ-R3d /FC

****** Because of the competition nature of this engine,******
******it is NOT covered by the O.S. 2 Year Warranty.******

good luck getting any warrenty on anitro motor anyway.

i am using a HZ-R in my env, and it has tons of power but after seeing one pilot go from HZ-r to the HZ-r speed motor the difference was massive, the new speed motor (3d one) barely even loaded up and it was being flown HARD.

as others have said though the HZ-R should be enough for the majority of pilots out there, ceratinly is for me but if i was buying a new motor i would definately go with the speed version now

this common with competition motors as there run at higher rpm and tuned for max power and if you are not careful you go over the top and kill the motor so in saying that the hzr is a very good choiceRIP Roman JR

it's common for US distributed OS motors. NOT all competition motors. Other brands still stand behind their motors and defects.Randy!!! I am the liquor

OK, then one could run the O.S. 91HX-r Speed motor more on the rich side, so not to burn this motor up! (standard logic)
