Dual Thunder Power 820CD Charging Case w 1400watt 24v PSU
After seeing some of the charging cases on here I decided to make my own for my Dell 1400psu conversion and TP 820CDs. I converted two Dell 700watt PSUs to create a dual 24v/12v PSU (Thanks to Chris @ TJinTech for his helpful information on the conversion). I isolated the DC ground from one of the PSUs (since I really didn't trust the inferior AC ground removal method that many are using) and ran two outputs so I can have simultaneous 12v and 24v outputs.

I then grabbed a Pelican 1520 case and went to work to house the PSUs and my two Thunder Power 820CD chargers. Admittedly it was a lot of work to get the case finished the way I did it, but I'm very happy with the results. There were no holes drilled into the Pelican case so it retains its weather sealing and durability. The PSUs are sealed with foam so the airflow is forced through the PSUs. The mesh on the left of the tray is the intake, and the mesh on the right of the tray is the exhaust. It blows a TON of air out of the exhaust with how its partitioned inside, so it stays nice and cool even when running out in the heat . (Thanks to Kiba for posting the cases he made.. they got my brain working and inspired me to make the one I did)

I finished the tray with some gray carpet, 3 sets of 24v outputs, one 12v output (so even with my chargers running two other devices can be plugged in as well), stainless steel mesh grills over the intake/exhaust, and a compartment lined with black foam to house all the leads/balance tabs/power cables. I'm very happy with the results so it was actually worth all the time I ended up spending on it.

Awesome looking and VERY clean. I really like some of the cases I've seen here. I think some of you all should make and sell these! You could offer a couple options like:

1 - Case no PS or Chargers, just wired up so people drop in thier PS+Chargers and make the final connections.

2 - Case with PS no chargers, just add chargers and go.

3 - Case with everything. Just plug and go.

You could also of course offer a few other variables in the PS and Charger selection if so inclined.

I personally think that these would actually sell pretty well.
I love my flying lawn mowers!

I can't wait to see it in person Art. Beautiful work. I wouldn't mind trying something like that. I can't make it to the field Tuesday as my wife is having surgery then. See you soon. Chuck

I watched Art do some of the work on this case, he is crazy meticulous. It looks just as good under the carpet too. I hope to get a smaller 12v case done soon too, lol.
