Don't give up on the longer belt, just yet. What pitch, etc. of the stock F6 belt?

Talked to Miniature about that some months ago. Apparently there are longer belts available, but of lesser quality, Miniature will not use them. The other thing is their engineer says do not run more than 620mm mains on those grips, as they are worried about liability. Please, whatever you do, don't shoot the messenger...

The plastic grips are the same as their 90 size birds aren't they? Sucks that the belt isn't up to par.Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, Today is a GIFT

That is a fact about the belts. Unfortunately, we have yet to find any other belts that are as good as the Bando brand that are longer than our current belt.

The Plastic grips are infact the same as the 90 size grips (except for the bolt hole) and would handle larger blades easily, but the metal ones are were designed with "50" size blades and the loads placed upon them by a "50" size model, therefore, we cannot recommend the use of larger than "50" size blades. I'm not saying that it wouldn't work, I'm saying that it was never designed with larger than "50" size blades in mind, and it was never tested with blades larger than 620mm.

Yeah, the metal grips are what I meant, I was looking at my own F6. I'd actually forgotten that the big plastic grips came with them in the FB'd kits. I've had many MA models with the plastic grips, but these metal ones look stronger to me...that's why I originally inquired about the stretch kit. Not sure I'd want to do it now, for several reasons, but I think the whiplash will be better suited anyway.
