new project sikorsky S58
Well I have been working on this for several months and its time to show some picts. This is the fuselage plug after fiberglass and a coat of primer. Still a lot of filling and sanding before its ready to make a mold. The tail boom is not far behind its ready for fiberglass now.

Cool, another scratch build!!!

I love watching these go from a piece of foam to a beautiful scale model. A LOT of talented folks out there.

Donnie I look forward to this build!

Looking good. Can't wait to see it with full details, panel lines, rivets etc...All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!

Thanks guys

This is one of several projects I have going at one time so it may take a while to finish. I am not sure how much detail I will be putting on the plug before I make the molds. This is my first time scratch building so not sure how it will turn out.

Did a little more sanding and put another coat of primer on last night. Its getting close to time for surface detail.

Looking great! Don't forget to tiger stripe it with some black paint, then sand it again. It will show any of the low spots that way.All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!
