it will correct for piro in the wrong direction.
So instead of getting a flatter piro, it will be much worse
For the love of the hobby

I flew a gallon through the ENV tonight with the update. I almost like it better with out the piro comp. Feels like I'm learning all over again.

Just feels really weird.

I'm about 6 gallons on fbl so its really new. With out the update, It was very locked in to me but I still had to make some small corrections. Now I make corrections for things that are not even happening. I know that this is what its suppose to be like but it kinda takes the fun out of flying for me.
I don't feel connected to it at all.

No just to be able to get the most out if it. Elv still feels like it needs more gain.

No problemo.

Go into the gain screen on the 750 for ele. You'll see two sets of numbers. The lower value is the gain in the transmitter. The upper 100% is the ceiling of adjustment. You can increase that number to > 100% and get even more gain. When you do that, understand that 100% on the transmitter is now 100% of whatever value to which you've raised the ceiling (for example 120%), so fine tuning in 1% increments on the transmitter is actually now a bit broader adjustment.

Some set ups will allow > 100% gain on ele. I agree that esp on ele, you really need to keep turning up the gain in your highest headspeed until you see it start to gently nod, then back it off maybe 5%.

Remember that when you run the gains on the edge of a wiggle in your highest headspeed that you may need to turn them down in hover and HOLD. YMMV....just check before you blast off.

Oh yeah...play with the ele I gain as well. It makes a nice difference in the way the system tracks. I'm at 65% in my contest model. You may like a bit less for a 3D application, though it feels good on my 3D model as well.

Just back from a flight with 1.1 on the Srimok. I'm very pleased, I didn't have huge problems with wobbly piros before but now the heli can piro all day long in the same spot. pitch pump piros are very good too. Travelling piros are great too. This is with stock equalizer and phasing settings

Climb outs and pitch pumps look true to me.

Tail is great on tic tocs too.

Flies very locked in with the gains in the 80s for elevator and 70s for Aileron but still feels very connected.

Winner!

Just a question as I am learning. Would the need for more gain also mean the need for larger cyclic control (instead of setup for 8, perhaps setup for 12), or could it also mean the need for higher AFR? Just trying to see the big picture

No, not really. The system is a yaw, pitch, and roll demand affair. Except for MAJOR differences in gain, you'll be setting up the same way.

You do NOT set up a 750 with lots of cyclic "headroom" like you do some other products out there. 12 degrees of cyclic will feel a lot like 12 degrees of cyclic; don't go there unless you want that kind of rate to actually be manifest in the system.

From what i have read and experienced so far, it sounds like you might benefit from lowering the Igain instead.

Another Very Happy Camper
Got my 750 and 6203 RX a few days ago. Installed it in my CHP 700 conversion, got it all hooked up today. A very good friend of mine (skew) programmed it for me today and done the first test flight. WOW I could not beleave my eyes. No trimming, no tunning, perfect. The pyro comp is great. I have tried other FBL units, but they just wasn't my thing the 750, in my opinion is the very best by far. I have the same feelings as skew, this is gona cost me another 270$

Yesterday I have flown my T-Rex 550 a few more times.

First of all, the Phasing Equalizer does not work for me. If I enable it, the heli gets a little bit unstable and it drifts to forward right.

I did set my headspeed (in the governor menu) around what to expect. But did not have a tachometer to get the exact headspeed. I will try that also.

You sure you got the phase correction set correctly.

Watch the video in the first post again...make sure you did it right.

The phase correction either works or doesn't. IF you had issues with the phase correction and its really a hardware issue then your tail control will also be off.

is it just me but i really don't see a lot of videos from average joes showing how well there setups are working, i see videos of people jumping off the ground and going right into a 3D routine and where they impressive it don't show us how well things like the new piro update is working for the CGY750 or in the case of systems like the HC3-SX how well the self-leveling working and so on and so on, i'd really like to see more videos that show more about the different feachers than just videos of 3D routines.     ▲
