Why? if you aren't using it, especially in E heli with governor mode on ESC. Do you put throttle ESC wire on Rx or on THR/E2 input on CGY750? I connect my throttle wire on Rx, not on CGY750. I don't use governor mode on my T8FG, just some throttle flat curve, may be I don't use it on the right way.

Could you explain us what PhaseEqu do?

Thanks for your help

Norbert
It is in the first part of the directions. It says that for the phase equalizer to work properly it needs to know the rpm and direction of the rotor.

Got one flight a piece in on my 700n's after the update. Wow my 750's suck much less now. If futaba keeps this up I might have something positive to say soon KDS Agile 7.2/5.5 Chase 360 - SkyHero Spyder/Spy/Little Spyder

Per the OP edit maybe you don't need to enable PhaseEq. If that is the case then the rpm and rotor direction should not matter.

First flight tonight! A big improvement. Much more stable in stationary and moving piro moves. Before the upgrade I was making constant corrections. Now I don't notice any corrections but the ones I decide to make to move the heli around. Didn't seem to have any negative impact. Wind 8-12 didn't phase it.

I will have to try it with the PhaseEQ off and see if I can tell the diff. I use the gov and already had the rotor dir set up so I will guess that I can't tell any difference.

This upgrade is a must have IMO. Especially for us not so good pilots that don't make up for bad habits of our equipment like the pro pilots can.

I read it, but just wonder how it works whereas I don't use governor mode as I fly my built in ESC gov.

Is it necessary to plug ESC throttle wire on CGY750 or could I keep it on Rx....As I use flat curves on throttle, do I have to activate gov mode on my t8fg and set RPM in this mode?
Not so clear this Pase Equ parameter...but good job for piro comp

Guys, if you don't have phasing issues, you don't need to enable the phasing equalizer.

Phase equalization further optimizes the piro comp as a function of the model's headspeed and rate of rotation on the yaw axis. The system "knows" what the yaw rate is by looking at rudder input. In order for it to know what the headspeed is doing, it needs to look at the governor.

With an electric model that is using a native ESC governor, the approximate headspeed at which you're flying should still be set into the governor menu. The 750 will then use that value for the phase equalization calculation. The governor does not have to be actively controlling the headspeed for the calculation to occur. Phase equalization uses 1500 rpm as a default for calculation when you don't set the rpm at which you actually happen to be flying.

This explanation is a close paraphrasing of clarification that was received by the CGY 750's designer.

Ben - Great to know! So if we're using the governor, and say the headspeed is read at 1820 vs what it may be set to say 1950, which number is used for the formula? What's read from the sensor or what's set as the headspeed?

Hotwings, did you hold the mode + button on the 750 while powering on the screen should say update ready. Then right click on the exe and run as administrator and wait a few mins to complete

I asked that question when I sent the email last night. Let me see if I can get the fine detail on that answer. It would appear that it's using the input value for the calculation, but I don't want to hang my hat on that until I check. I want to know if it only uses the input value if it doesn't have an ongoing data stream from an actively governed engine.

Did you follow the setup instructions on Futaba's site? They have you go into the device manager and assign the drivers to the CIU-2. That's what I had to do to get it to work on mine.

Did you get the CIU-2 Dirver from the Futaba web site and did you get the right one? The CIU-2 was hard to get set up on my computer at first, but once i got it, the computer sees the CIU-2 any time it is pluged in.
