Need to remove shaft on Scorpion motor 4025-890KV before shortening it?
I just bought a new motor that comes with a 6mm shaft - do I need to remove the shaft first before slicing it off with my dremel to fit in my trex600? Will it bend the shaft if I don't remove it? I'm thinking of clamping the motor casing for the cutting process or should I find a way to clamp the shaft instead?

shaft
Put the motor in a plastic bag or baggie and poke the shaft thru the bag, This will keep the shaving from going to the magnets in the motor. Vise the end of the shaft you are cutting off and support the motor, Cut with dremel and keep any shavings from getting to the magnets, you can seal the bag with tape at the shaft end.
Or you can remove the shaft from the motor and cut it. Your choice, Good luck.

Your first idea sounds a lot easier than removing the shaft. That's what I'll do.

Thanks!
