Just wondering if there is any news for the release of piro comp on the CGY750?

I'm curious to try this out.

Thanks,

They found several other problems including a serious error in one of the swash modes so they have a number of things to fix and test before they release a firmware update.

Best to release it right than with bugs ... the forums are not very forgiving, lol!

WooHoo!!!

(I don't know why I'm so excited, I actually love the way the unit performs as-is)

Here is some great information on setting up the new firmware for the CGY 750 This is straight from the engineers that designed the unit.

Phase Equalizer Operation
The phase equalizer compensates for swash phase mismatches during
pirouetting maneuvers. This is caused by the difference in pirouette speed versus rotor head speed. When the head speed is lower, the phase mismatch will be greater. At head speed to 2000 rpm, pirouette speed to 720 deg/sec, the phase mismatch to both roll and pitch axis are about 5.4 degrees lead pirouetting to the left and lag to the right.

What Phase Equalization does for you
The phase mismatch occurs due to the above mentioned mismatch of pirouette speed and head speed. The Phase Equalizer compensates the roll and pitch control axis dynamically, so you get more precise swash control during pirouetting maneuvers.

Setup
The Phase Equalizer needs the pirouette speed and head speed information and rotor rotation direction. The pirouette speed can be measured by the yaw gyro and head speed can be determined by the governor head speed setting. When you don't use the governor such as with an electric heli, you still need to put the rotor rpm in (this does not need to be precise data, a good guess is better than nothing!) The new firmware now has an rpm setting menu even when the governor is not used. If you do not input an rpm the CGY750 will use a default 1500 rpm.
