Anyone returned a Cellpro 10s for repair?
Has anyone sent an FMA Cellpro charger in for repair for connecting it to +16v ?

Was testing a new 24v power supply on my PL8 and Duo 3 (both of which take 24v input) and completely forgot about the 16v input limit on the 10s charger.

So, I let the smoke out I'm sure at least a few have done the same.

Just trying to get a repair cost estimate.

Thanks.

Dave

If I remember correctly, it is flat rate $80. I heard this a while back ago, when my 10S stopped working and I tried to repair. I ended up bying new for $130, taking into account shipping and repair time.

Thanks.

If it's really that much, I might as well chalk it up as a loss and put that money towards a 24v capable charger.

You'd be better to get a word from them. My info may be old and maybe I forgot something. Drop them a mail and get real quote. They usually respond well.

A friend fried his 10S - tech support told him how to fix it over the phone. It's been too long for me to remember what exactly it was, but he ended up soldering a new part in and it took 10 minutes.

Of course this may not be the case with yours, but it is worth the phone call to find out.

Good luck.
