Purchased an MCPX today & the guy at the hobby shop threw an extra head in the box & said " thats in case it doesn't have the upgraded head".
So I get home & replace the head with the one he threw in & test hovered. Everything seemed OK.
Now i get online & see on the horizon website, that the head should be marked "B".
My original head was marked "2".
The replacement head he threw in the box & the one I installed was maerked "1".
So my question is >>>> which marking is correct?
I'm inclined to think that it should be "B" as stated on the horizon website.
Can someone confirm please ?
If that is the case, what a goober at the hobby shop, to give me a defective head to replace my defective head!
Thanks
Vince D.

OK- I'll call horizon & get a new head.
It sucks that I can't fly it until I get the new head & that the hobby shop guy knew of teh issue & gave me the wrong head.
Why would he even have the old head?
Thanks

I would think you could still fly until you get your new grips (B). Just don't fly near your face and fly over a grassy area. I have crashed mine about 10 times with no damage over a grassy area, just kill the throttle as soon as you realize you are going in.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

And if you are a beginner like me, remove most of the negative pitch from your throttle curve.
My grips are marked B on the outer edge and 2 on the inner part nearest the linkage, both on top.

Been flying the 2 grips since new and no problems to date. The B head sent from horizon had a ton of negative pitch when installed. They told me to adjust my links. Why f up a perfect flying heli? Make sure the feathering shaft is tight and a drop of oil on the bearings will go a long way till you get your b's.

My replacement head is on the way from horizon.
I don't know how long it will take to arrive but I have other heli's to fly so its not a huge deal.
I'll just let it sit until the new head arrives. I know how delicate these things can be & crashing it from a catastrophic head failure can screw up other things so I'll just wait because I want to see how it flys in it's original state.
Thanks
