hi guys first time to the site. I'm a neub for the most part.
i'm in the process of building a Trex 600ESP. I have been wrestling with the swash set up up for 2 1/2 days and I think I have it right.
My swash is level at low, medium and high stick, my arms are level, and the elevator pivot arm can be seen in the frame sight window. After all that is said and done, my wash out block, at full pitch stops about 3/16 from the head. will this affect the performance of the bird significantly?

I'm also using G-10 frames and the servo cutouts are at more of an angle than the stock ones.

any help would be greatly appreciated because i've been collecting parts and pieces since last August and I'm chomping at the bit-lol

Thanks for the help

That would be these pictures:

Go to your gallery.

Place your cursor just below the picture you want to post. A gray bar will appear below it. If you hover over the gray bar, it will say "add to clipboard". Click on the gray bar. The picture is now in a "clipboard".

Add other pics that you want to post the same way.

Go to your post, at the bottom you'll see a PREVIEW tab. Click it, the pics are now in your post.

Write your post text, click submit...instant pics.

AS long as the washout block doesn't hit the head block and stall the servos, you should be fine. Same with it at the lower position, you should be able to tilt the swash and not have it run into the frames anywhere.

Read and understand this post, you'll be good to go:

https://rc.runryder.com/p4325158/

The key will be setting the ZERO degree pitch stuff, at mid-stick, using the pitch curve of 0 - 50 - 50 - 50 - 100 and being somewhere in that big 50% flat spot. The swash should be level, in the center of its up/down travel range, all mixing levers up on the head/main mast are all level and parallel to the swash.

turn them electrics on and get to mid stick and make sure everythings level including checking pitch it should be zero. then go low stick and set it to ten. thats a good number to start at then same to high stick ten. I would do this in idal up mode. Because in normal mode you can mess with the pitch curve and set the low stick more around five. this will be great for hovering. let us know how your doing.

600 ESP help/ back on track
hey thanks dkshema and willanyone1-

had to get back to real work; vacation is over and iv'e had very little time to mess with the bird-

i noticed that when i started checking the pitch i was off so i went back and started checking measurements sure enough the linkage from the swash to the seesaw was off- so things are starting to line up
gonna try my pitch at -2 for a low and +9 for a high for starters-
