Guys

I have a YS56sr here at my local club which gives me intermittent problems. Engine runs fine everything OK, then all of a sudden it spools up and becomes lean. Governor fitted to the heli but revs goes out of control. Anyone experienced a similar problem?

Thanks
Henke

Insufficient tank pressure won't maintain a steady fuel flow through the regulator. Disable the gov and diagnose.

Try opening the hover needle a couple of clicks. These don't give much warning when they are on the edge of going lean, doesn't seem gradual at all.

Mine would do the same thing and i would take the needle valves out and spin the motor over to clean out the oassages.I had a problem with a fuel magnet that came apart and it clogged up the regulator,i had to take it off and claen it out.

YS56SR leaning out problem
Guys

Thanks for the replies. It must be regulator issues, as we've got many other running smooth. I'll strip the card/regul and clean it out.

Thanks
