Just bought a NEW Scorpion HKIII 4035-500 which i was gonn put into a Srimok 90E, but I think I would prefer a 600SE.

Anyone using this motor in a 600SE? If so what is the best setup to use, .e 12S/10S, pinon etc.

Or would another motor be better?

Any help would be great!

I run that motor on 12s on my 600 I love it. I think you would have to go 10,s on the SE.

12 tooth is too fast for a 500kv motor, you have to go 11 tooth pinion and 63% on throttle using Kontronik 80hv.
This is what I'm at with one on my Logo 600SE and the other is running 450 kv motor also with 11 tooth pinion.

Yes 12S on both...both run really well, but the 450KV motor seems stronger.
In my gallery the 600 3D is now stretched to SE and that is the one with 500KV Hyperion motor. The 600SE is the one running Pyro 450KV motor.

I am running that motor on 10S. I have tons of power and flew 8 mins with power and time to spare. It was only my 3rd flight so I've yet to check just to see how much I need to put back into my Turnigy Nanotech 4500mAh battery.

I am using the 13 tooth pinion as the 12 tooth doesn't permit more than about 1750rpm on a Castle Creations ICE 80HV. With a 13 tooth I am running 1850rpm and the model is very happy indeed. It easily flies like a 90 size heli only with more power.

I am running 690 mains, 105 tails with everything stock on the model.

Chris.
