I have a question about the AR7100. At present I have an AR7000 rx. with an Ice 100 ESC and an BEC Pro. If I got a AR7100 would it be ok to wire together the leads from the BEC Pro and put a EC3 connector on it and use the main battery for the power source for the AR7100?
My logic is I wouldn't have to have the weight of the extra battery to power the rx., plus I can run the cyclic servos at a higher voltage and not need a step-down regulator for the tail servo and gyro.

Any thought?

You can also run the bec to an open channel on the unregulated side. I am running two battery packs through my 7100. One through the main ec3 lead and one through an open channel. I am still getting 5.2 out of the regulated side.
