I just received my new kit today and as i was looking over the manual I noticed that the manual calls for red locktite on most of the little bolts and set screws is this right? If I crash, seems like it would be hard to take apart. What are you guys using, and where must I use RED locktite? I've always used blue locktite on the small fastners of my other heli's never red. Also what about the clutch pinion on the start shaft bearing block, should red or green be used here?

Hi,

According to my JR Vibe 90SG and old Vibe 50 manuals:
Unlike conventional U.S.-made threadlock, JR red is the U.S. equivalent of blue. JR green is the equivalent of U.S. red.
Hope this helps.

Regards,
G

They say that you have to use medium loctite when they mark red and hard when the mark green.
I have used green on every metal to metal, red Loctite on the nut that goes over the pinion, and i have replaced the red loctite with grease on the pinion thread that goes in the clutch bell.

Cheers
