There is a guy over on Helifreaks who is making a nifty strap for transmitters. It is quite nice.
Congrats on your first pink.

mark should be with you shortly to adjust your post.

Anything out there that you really like that is comfortable?
I've been using an optec/usa pro-strap for years. Love it. I also use them on my DSLR cameras which is how I knew about them. Super soft neoprene that's truly comfortable around the neck.

What is the advantage of the "cross over strap." I have never seen anyone use them at the field, but I am trying to wonder what they do better??

For guys that don't like tension on their necks??

It does take the weight off your neck and put it on your shoulders. I've never tried one myself. I know one guy who preferred the crossover strap over the neck strap.

I've always prefered to "pinch" and use a tray. Recently I started to experiment with a crossover strap, but more importantly, I'm protecting my investment following major back surgery in JAN 2010.

Then this thread poped up and thought I'd give my 1½ ¢

What about some metal straps:
It makes me fly more precise
that looks like it would hold the TX right where you want it without it looking like a tabletop, it also looks as it would put all the weight of the TX on your shoulders instead of your neck and i would have to think that would be a good thing ? thats thinking outside the box, good idea !
Congrats on your first pink.
it doesn't look pink to me ? maybe i need to adjust the color on my flat panel ?

Mostly pilots competing in F3C are using the metal straps.

Other pilots, that I know of are are Justin Jee, Leon Luke, Scott Grey ...

It might feel a little bit uncomfortable, if you walk around with the metal straps and your transmitter. But once you stand - and you are fully concentrated on your chopper - you will feel the accuracy of your stick inputs.

All the weight is on your shoulders (like a backpack) and not on your neck. Especially it is stiff! and no wiggeling around.
I like it.
