I have to say those people on the road...granted not everyone can handle the trauma of watching an accident happen (the same people who can't stand the sight of a mouse) their excused for not acting, but the rest of those people-what a sorry lot of people who just stood there and stared. Granted, I did see the slope of the hill and how steep it was, but I'm sorry to see their members of the human race.

I heard someone yell "flames" and call out "stay back"
Seeing the hill was so steep, and an ambulance was on site and on the way the croud would actually hinder a rescue and was better suited to stay out of the way.You people are so quick to fault the kids, how much help could a kid with a skateboard actually provide?
Thankfully there were no injuries.

I Love RC Helis, and have the Receipts to prove it

Bunch of scared P**'s. They rather see if they can capture some hot-n-juicy stuff for Youtube to show their palls.

We were coming back home one rainy night from up on the mountain, after eating pizza. On I-77 South, My friend and his girlfriend, and Me. It was poring the rain and the wind was blowing hard.

I saw a car that had flipped down huge bank and ending up on it's top. in a Gully with water poor through it. A tractor trailer had blown this Lady & Her Son, off the road, while passing her I belive.

The car was smoking like crazy, and the back glass was busted out, there was probably about a foot, or so between the ground and the trunk of the car. I had my friend support the rear of the car to keep it off me.
So I slid on my back up under the car, and through the back glass, and got the lady out of her seat belt, she was still hanging upside down, scared stiff. Her kid was in the back seat, he was helped out first. I had to pick up on her, and get her to release the belt. But they both were not injured. I was afraid the car was going to explode, but that did not stop me.

Don't be woss help someone in need.

rcflyer -- good for you. Heroes are made, not born. One doesn't plan to do heroic deeds, they simply rise to the occasion. You did.

Sorry but if the gas tank is almost empty and the LEL is correct, it will explode with a spark. It is all about the fuel mixture being too lean or too rich..........Ron

Years ago I had a Weedhopper Ultralight. I had several forced landings with the thing due to engine failure. On one occasion I made a forced landing in a hay pasture. Someone driving down the highway saw me going down and disappear. 3 or 4 minutes later I saw him hauling ass across this field headed in my direction. When he arrived he exclamed 'I saw you going down, but didn't see any smoke!' I just sorta chuckled. It was nice of him to stop, but the movies sure mess up people's heads.

There, their and they're. It's really that simple.

If at all possible why would anyone not help a person in a dire situation,i came across a car that had hit a tree head on,pinning the lady by her legs, she was angled at 45 degrees out of the car trying to support herself on at least one injured arm.I managed to support her back and neck till the fire service arrived.Another lady at the scene could not steady herself to dial for the services,i had to take her phone. Not the first time Navy first aid traing has just kicked in like an autopilot.I shall be forever gratefull just for that
