If you really want to do it, and do it right, you put a spring on the throttle to center it just as you do the collective. That this the prefect solution, no notch, no magnet, no beep to listen to. It will always naturally return and be perfectly centered and you will always have tension on the stick so you can feel whether the stick is above or below center which the other gimmicks cannot tell you.

Before anyone comments, this is nothing new and I know several guys who were flying spring centered collective back in the mid-90s.

All you need to do is get the parts for your radio and adjust your normal curve for idle (nitro/gas) at center sick. Take off and land in normal and all flying in idle-up 1/2. Only took me a few minutes to add the spring and a plastic piece to my JR 10X in the late 90s.

If you search RR you will find some old threads on it. There was even an article on it published in MHW many years ago.

I flew it for a while. It works well. You never have to think about finding zero pitch with this method.

Wouldn't that make your throttle curve like STEEP?

I literally never use the word literally right.

It's no biggie, don't think too hard about it. Just shift your normal TH/Pitch curve up from bottom to mid-stick. On the 10x TX we used one of the knobs and a mix as and idle adjustment. This was developed using a JR 10s or 10sx at the time. You're only using Normal to take off and land. Once in the air you can go into IU 1/2.

You mean the 50% on your Throttle and Pitch Curve page?

I still don't get it.lol...

If I come in for a landing at around 50% throttle and switch to normal, the throttle would fall to 0% instantly.

I hate big jumps between flight modes myself.

I literally never use the word literally right.

Where your at throttle wise, pitch and cyclic etc doesent matter. Just fly knowing your setup is proper and go by how the heli is reacting and form your timing and so fourth around that. Visually and audibly you'll get to know your head loading points etc anyhow.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...
