I'm new to Spektrum and just started setting up a Microbeast. Prior to connecting the MB, I bound the AR7010 rx and tested...worked fine. After connecting the MB and selecting the receiver type, the rx doesn't work unless I rebind it. I'm slowly learning how this stuff works but what I don't understand is why (and when) you have to rebind. I can't figure out why you'd have to rebind when the MB isn't doing anything to the rx, it's downstream. Can someone educate me?

Thanks, Scot

Well Scott, not sure, mine didn't need rebinding?

You did remember to take the bind plug off your RX didn't you, other wise you will have to rebind every time

If it cannot fly on it's own, then I won't be much help....

You don't need to select the Rx type , you're using the default ; a Standard Rx ...

What type did you select ? that's most likely why its not working .....

Thanks for the replies. I realized I didn't need to change the rx type in the end but first thought I had to set it to Spektrum. I'm not too sure what's going on so will try it again and see what happens.

Couple of questions...

1. So...generally, one would bind the rx prior to connecting the MB in the system and then rebind again after setup is finalized?

2. For future reference, do you turn on the tx to select the rx type or leave it off?

3. Is there a way to reset the MB to factory default? I don't recall seeing that in the manual.

Thanks, Scot

Rebinding isn't necessary, but if you notice any iof the servos going to a strange position whenb you first turn on the system, then a rebind usually gets rid of that behavior.
2. For future reference, do you turn on the tx to select the rx type or leave it off?
Doesn't matter. By the way, unless you run a satellite only or sbus setup you DO NOT select the receiver type. Just leave it as STANDARD for any full receiver setup.

Page 33 of the manual, bottom of the page. From any setup menu step, hold the button down for more than ten seconds, watch for the LED's to run through a fast flashing sequence, that's it.

Thanks, finally got it sorted out! Between learning how the bind process works and an rx pack with an intermittent connection, that had me a bit confused.

Just thought of something...should I rebind for failsafe after getting everything set up? If I understand correctly, cyclic neutral, collective zero and throttle hold on? I'm using a DX7.
