Quite a few of the parts are the same: Boom, tail assy (the tail box is different, but you can put the 3D+ version on the K3D), bearing blocks and bearings, blade grip bearings, tail fins, frame spacers/screws/nuts/bolts/washers/hardware/etc..., tail block, gyro tray(s), belt pullies, motor mount (they're both compatible with one another), fuel tank, swash plate and all the head parts (basically they just different colors), Main/feathering/tail shafts, skid tubes, boom supports, vertical & horizontal fin mount.

Come to think of it, it's probably easier to list the things that aren't compatible: Frames, battery tray, servo to swash linkages, landing struts, and canopy. I think that's about it.

I know some people were concerned with the Knight being eliminated, but as you can see, probably 90% of the stuff can be used from the 3D+ on the Knight, so there is very little difference other than the way the heli(s) are configured geometrically.

Awesome info...just wanted to say thanks. I'm glad I found it since I just started rebuilding my Knight 3d last night...haven't touched my helis for about two years now!

I know the feeling! It took me a really long time to put my Knight together the first time. I was so glad when I got it done and very impressed with it to boot. It's still a great flying heli to this day, but I did end up switching to a 3D+ when I found a really good deal on the airframe itself. I have a whole box of Knight parts/pieces for sale if you're interested. I'd rather them go to someone who can really use them instead of collecting dust in my garage.
